We (2 couples)spent a night at the Mercure Arras in early October. We were very impressed with the staff at reception/checking . The location was excellent and close to many sites and restaurants. The next morning the breakfast was excellent with the choices and the facility. We were very impressed with the 3 staff who were on in the morning of the 8th. They were friendly, helpful and very efficient.

From arrival to leaving we had a perfect stay. Secure car park was great, friendly receptionist and easy check in. Hotel room was just the right size for our short stay. Good size bathroom with excellent shower booth. Good lighting and seating.

Mercure Hotel Aras – Come for the Breakfast, Stay for the Traffic Jam (Because You’ll Hear It Anyway)

The Mercure Aras is one of those places that makes a great first impression. Beautiful building, super friendly staff, and a breakfast spread that could win awards. Seriously—if you leave hungry, that’s on you. Dinner was also excellent, with good food and a chilled atmosphere. Big thumbs up for the team and the kitchen! Now, the room… visually, it’s great. Stylish, clean, and comfortable until 5:30 AM hits and the city outside decides to join you for your stay. The windows aren’t shy—they let in all the noise. Every car, truck, and honk feels like it’s happening at your bedside. The shower? Let’s call it a surprise experience. It starts off hot and hopeful, then suddenly goes “plot twist!” and you’re in a cold mountain stream. Then warm. Then cold again. Rinse, repeat (literally). Not ideal if you like consistency—or warmth. So, would I recommend it? Yes, with a few disclaimers. Great food, lovely people, but bring earplugs and maybe pretend the shower is an adventure sport.

We dislike nothing more than to let a guest leave on an empty stomach ! We’re truly sorry to hear that your sleep and shower experience didn’t live up to the rest of your stay. Regarding the noise, we completely understand how disruptive it must have been. We're currently exploring solutions to better insulate our more exposed rooms to minimize outside disturbances. As for the “surprise shower,” be assured that our technical team has been alerted and will make sure this kind of adventure remains a one-off. We really do appreciate your recommendation, even with a few disclaimers. Should you visit us again, please don’t hesitate to advise me — we’ll do our best to ensure your night is just as enjoyable as your breakfast! The receptionist that checked us in was very friendly and helpful with giving us dining and sightseeing recommendations. The room was ready despite us arriving early. Suggestion would be to offer a Nespresso machine for coffee in the room. Pillows could also be better and a separate shampoo instead of the body wash and shampoo combined dispenser, would have been nice

Superb hotel, had everything one needs for an overnight (or longer) stay. Easy parking, warm welcome. Room facilities were excellent. Restaurant was good and stayed open for us as we arrived around closing. Breakfast was outstanding and all staff were very helpful. Definitely will stay again
