We took a 3D/2N trip from Paris to Dijon on recommendation of a friend and enjoyed the quiet setting of a small town vs Paris. Grand Hotel La Cloche is probably the go-to choice given its elegant old world charm and walking distance to the train station. It was also ideally located near the touristy main street of shops as well as key sights. The room was well appointed and spacious. Breakfast buffet while not much of variety, was of good quality. The dining room is transformed into fine dining restaurant for dinner though we chose to eat out instead. Our stay was pleasing and I would highly recommend to those planning trip to Dijon.

Pluses: Excellent hotel. Rooms facing a busy place Darcy but rooms extremely well soundproofed and well looked after. Well appointed furniture and bathroom. Centrally located 4 minutes by tram from TGV station and walking distance from old city. Pleasant dining room in a rotonda facing an inner garden. Well appointed buffet breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Minuses: Carpet in the hallway could be refreshed. 5 / 6 steps to climb to access the main lobby.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and can’t recommend it highly enough. We had a standard room which was very well appointed, the carpets deep and comfortable and the air conditioning was silent and very welcome. The hotel allocates 45 minutes on a booking system to use the hydro pool, sauna and steam room. This is by far the best way to do it and I commend them for that. The net result of that is that you get the facility to yourselves for that allotted time. The shower with sound effects such as thunderstorm alongside the change in water flow was a lovely touch. The staff are exceptional being both friendly and helpful. We would without doubt stay here again. Thank you.

This was our first visit to Dijon, France. What a wonderful city, with wonderful people, and what a fantastic hotel. First the hotel is the grand dame of Dijon hotels, totally refurbished to the highest of standards. It is located on the main square (Place Darcy) which is where the 2 new tram lines intersect, and across the street from the entrance of the historic (and very walkable) old city center. We thought our room was great and the staff of the hotel to be genuinely helpful and friendly: willing to assist with anything. Thank you. The breakfasts are nothing short of splendid and we treated ourselves one night to the 4 course gourmet dinner with wine. Outstanding! We definitely wish to return to Dijon and this treasure of a hotel as soon as we can.

Pros: - great location near the train station and in the city centre - beautiful large modern room - lovely garden - excellent breakfast buffet - good restaurant Cons: - food at the bar was horrible - service not always perfect (i.e staff forgot our drinks in the restaurant)
