Location of this hotel is perfect, staff are super friendly and accommodating. They interacted with my 3 year old and gave her sweets and high fives, nothing was too much trouble, thank you Rosa and Ramona!! Our room was a triple room, very spacious and spotlessly clean, we had a great view over toward the grand place. Overall a brilliant stay in a beautiful city, thank you again.

Horrible mattresses

The location is perfect. Staff are friendly. But the mattress is horrible. I’m not picky with mattresses but this was horrid. I had to change rooms because the mattress in the first room was dented so badly (body indent). The mattress in the second room was slightly better but not by much as it did slant to one side. I can’t believe how bad the mattresses are!! Clearly they need to be replaced. Also the room is showing its age. Chipped paint on the walls etc. I wouldn’t return to this hotel unfortunately. It’s a shame though because as I said the location is fantastic.

Room rather hot due to policy of no suing air-conditioning in the winter period. Provided with a fan by reception to cold the room. Otherwise excellent. Great location and setting in Brussels City centre

Hotel is few steps from Grand Place, lot of restaurants and stores, near Brussels central, and carrefour. Receptionist is nice - they allowed early check in as the room was available. Compared to Ibis Amsterdam Centre where we stayed for 4 nights, the room in Ibis Brussels has more space, table for writing, bigger washroom. There is free water refill In the reception. Breakfast is also good.

I was genuinely looking forward to my stay at Ibis Brussels Off Grand Place, but the hotel canceled my confirmed reservation just an hour before arrival after 36 hours of travel, citing a missing credit card “guarantee” that was never required when booking directly through their site. Staff offered no solutions and left me scrambling for last-minute accommodations. If this can happen to a confirmed guest, it raises serious concerns about reliability—something travelers should be able to count on. To make matters worse, the reception staff noted that this situation was not special and had happened to multiple other guests before! If you do book here, exercise caution and double-check your reservation—especially if your travel needs are critical or tightly scheduled.
