Other than the groovy reception area, nothing else about this hotel ticks ANY boxes. Plastic (noisy!) sheet protector, no fridge (only a gap in the cabinetry where one used to be) two paper cups and that’s it as far as amenities go, no jug, and a shower you need to be very fit and able-bodied to get in and out of.

Good morning, We are sorry to read your disappointment about our rooms. Indeed, in an ecological approach and in order to reduce our energy consumption, the refrigerators were removed from our rooms because they were rarely used by our customers. However, we provide our customers with a refrigerator at reception to keep their products cool if they wish. Concerning the cups, we are also making the transition to limit our waste as much as possible and we now offer ceramic cups in each of our rooms. Additionally, a glass bottle is provided to you free of charge upon arrival and you can refill it as many times as you want with sparkling or still water. This seems to us to be a good alternative to the 50cl plastic water bottle, for our customers and for the environment. We hope to regain your trust during a future stay in Bordeaux. The room size is fairly standard. This hotel had a decent bar area, restaurant area. Walkable to most areas. Enjoyed my stay. There was a slight mix up with the nights, but I think that was due to the company that booked it.

Excellent location only five minutes walk to town. Great staff, room nothing fancy but clean. Breakfast pricey at €19.50 and €11 for a beer! We got the tram from airport only €1.80 and about 40 minutes to get there. Tram stop literally two minutes to hotel. Bordeaux a beautiful city and The Novotel a great place to stay.

It’s a simple yet modern hotel in a great location. The design is nice and contemporary. Our room was simple and basic, which was expected. The staff were very nice and super helpful, assisting us with some of our activities, which is also why I’m giving a good rating. The downside was that I had requested a twin room so two separate beds but got one double bed with one large duvet. Not very practical for two friends. They did bring another blanket when we asked for it. Oh well, no biggie.

Nice hotel in a great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Based on quality of things like the towels and beds, however, this was more like a 3-star hotel. The rooms could have been cleaner and cleaned better (e.g., we found old random stuff under the furniture). The breakfast buffet is delicious!
