This was a lovely hotel to stay in for your basic needs, if you want more luxury then go elsewhere but the location is amazing, right on the promenade near Old Town Nice, overlooking the stunning blue ocean, it is stunning and within walking distance of everything. We came by uber from the Airport which took around 5 minutes to arrive and 15-20mins to the hotel. Lovely reception Shirend (questionable spelling on my end) was simply amazing and super helpful, she was lovely to speak to and made us feel so welcome, I’m sure I could have chatted with her all day! The rooms are compact but cosy, comfortable, small and clean. Breakfast was continental but a lovely spread, the breakfast lady was also so lovely and very efficient, lovely and friendly especially early in the morning! I will definitely come back to Nice for its stunning views and would for sure stay here again!

Initial thoughts on arrival, not great if needing to park, but we had arrived by Bus from the Airport, so not applicable for us. Bought tickets by Card at bus stop near airport, total €3.70 per person to Albert 1er. Breakfast was very good with 4 hot dishes, cold meats and cheeses, plus yoghurts, honey etcera. A simplistic coffee machine plus a fresh Orange Juice squeezer machine. Staff are courteous and very polite and not in your face, but always available if needed. In the evening, the bar, small but welcoming, the staff were very helpful and service was impeccable. The Hotel is so convenient, walk outside and you are on the Promenade des Anglais, or take a 3-minute walk to the Old Town Market, where there are several eating establishments, choices abound. Overall, I believe the Hotel should have 3 stars. Location definitely 4 or 5 stars. But Room 3 has a very small dressing table with no mirror for ladies and no nearby socket for hair dryer/straighteners. The shower is not totally enclosed, why I do not know, therefore water does end up on the floor outside the cubicle. Probably difficult but obviously needs looking at is the small balcony and the litter. Also sorry to say but thin cheap toilet paper for a 4-star Hotel is not good.

Decent Hotel but rude staff!!

Staff was rude from check-In to entire stay. A simple misinformations mentioned in their website when highlighted the staff went on defensive and treated us with rude attitude. I would rate the location excellent and hotel rooms pretty decent but the service very poor.

Very good location opposite sea view close to the market clean tidy good breakfast with different varieties of freshly food friendly receptionist too many restaurants around cross the road to the beach highly recommended I will be back to that place every time visiting nice

Fantastic location, comfortable bed and great breakfast. Absolutely no complaints about the accommodations. I took the most basic room with the bed upstairs and it was comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating . Walk out of the hotel and the beach is right there. You are adjacent to old Nice and 3 minutes walking to plaza Messina . Bus #12 will take you to the hotel from the airport. Would definitely recommend The only down side is the hotel provides soap but not hair conditioner
