This hotel did not inspire great confidence in terms of organisation, from checkin on. At least the issues managed to be solved at checkout. However, things like not taking full payment, or not being able to put expenses on the room due to system failure, are not totally helpful, and I think some of the staff were kind of stand-offish at times with unfriendly stares. Another issue is that the parking is a little walk from the hotel and people seemed to be confused that the parking directly outside belongs to the adjacent casino. Further, that particular gambling institution spews out customers smoking in the covered walkway between it and hotel and which you have to deal with while approaching the hotel's front door or waiting to get picked up out the front. Otherwise the rooms were pleasant, but there is only one lift, which I cannot really fathom in a relatively modern, busy hotel these days.

While this space is not directly under our control, we are aware that it can impact the guest experience, and we are working with our neighboring businesses to find a more suitable solution. On a more positive note, we’re glad to hear that you found the rooms pleasant — though we understand your surprise regarding the single elevator. We recognize that this can be an inconvenience during busy times, and we appreciate your patience. We stayed at the Grand Hotel Bregenz during the opera season and booked a junior suite at around EUR 500 per night, so naturally, our expectations were high. The location was definitely a highlight - perfectly situated between the train station and the Bregenz Opera, which made attending performances very convenient. That said, while the hotel is near the lake, you can’t really see it from the room as there’s a park blocking the view. Check-in was a mixed experience. There are two check-in desks, and one is supposed to be dedicated to ALL loyalty members with status. Unfortunately, this wasn’t enforced, and we had to wait in line with everyone else, despite being the only ones with status at that time. It felt disorganized and undermined the loyalty recognition. Our junior suite was also a mixed bag. On one hand, it was large, modern, and very clean; everything you’d expect from a hotel in this category. On the other hand, the room faced the parking lot, and the view was completely uninspiring. There was no balcony either, which was disappointing for a suite at this price point. The biggest positive surprise was the SPA. It wasn’t heavily advertised, so we didn’t have high expectations - but once we visited, we really enjoyed the indoor pool and sauna area. It was a peaceful and well-maintained space, and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Breakfast, however, left us with a lot of frustration. I’ve never experienced a system like this before - some tables in the breakfast area were pre-booked by certain guests, while others, including us, had to wait for a table in an already full room. At least five reserved tables sat empty while people queued. There was no structured waiting system, so it felt chaotic and unfair. Once seated, the buffet itself was quite good, especially the fresh fruit selection. What really bothered me, though, was discovering that there’s a hidden à la carte menu (with items like omelettes) that isn’t openly offered to all guests. Only a few people seemed to know about it, which created an uneven experience. In summary, while the stay had its enjoyable moments - especially the SPA and proximity to the opera; the overall price-to-quality ratio was disappointing. At this price tag, I expected a more polished, consistent, and guest-focused experience.

the room and breakfast were OK... I booked such an expensive MGallery hotel as I wanted a decent restaurant and spa facillities with indoor pool. There was no restaurant; only bar snacks which were Sandwich or Gulaschsuppe which is the lowest of the low. I ended going ot the Csino next door whihc was mediocre and expensive. The pool water was quite cold; Sauna and Steam room not at a good temperature level. The Receptionist cut short my complaint at check.out.... unimpressed as an Accor Platinum Member... The worst Accor I ever stayed in 20 years. Surprised to see that no request to review was sent to me by Accor.

Family night away

We booked this hotel the night before we went as we needed a night away, 3 adults and 1 teenage. We had two rooms, one twin bed on the first floor and one balcony room on the third. We did ask to be close to each other and I understood the room types were on different floors but we were the furthest opposite direction from each other. If you do book a balcony avoid 317 as you are basically in a tree, which is disappointing. Apart from the that, the rooms were lovely and very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool and spa area is really nice, the pool isn’t deep but good for my daughters to have a swim. It’s in a great location, we arrived by train from Munich. The train station is very close. The lake is a few minutes walk away with plenty of restaurants nearby. We didn’t eat breakfast as it was 25 euros each and my daughters don’t each that much. We did get the boat to lindau the next morning. The boat was about a 5to 10 minutes walk away .

Great stay with a group in Bregenz

I took a group of 13 people to Bregenz for a church-related tour. Our "home base" was the Grand Hotel Bregenz. It is perfectly located to the train/bus station (literally just a staircase and very short walk away). The breakfast (included with our room rate) was absolutely incredible. Everything you could have wanted was on the buffet and the hosts were so attentive. The rooms are nice and typical for the price point. The hotel is right on the lake and a beautiful walking path is just steps away. You can also access downtown Bregenz with an easy 8 to 10-minute walk. I would definitely stay here again.
