This is not a 5 star hotel. Clean and comfortable and well located but lacking the 5 star extras. Room extremely small. The one exception was Charlotte in guest services who went above and beyond in helping my wife who took a bad fall in the street and had a mild concussion.

The best part of this hotelis the location, walkable to everything in Strasburg. The hotel was nice, a little worn, and the rooms were the same - nice but a bit beat up. Staff was very nice, but I would not come here for the hotel experience, it’s really all about a very good hotel in a great location.

This place is a dump. Just got my room today and room isn't even worth 1 star. I have never seen carpet so worn down with stains and 3 colors on the carpet. So many nicks, dings, pieces missing out of the doors, table, walls, tile. I have stayed at best western hotels nicer than this. I wiped down the room and the wipes were black proving how unclean the room is. They have probably a hundred places that need to be patched and painted in this room. Never seen anything like this in a 5 star hotel. I also asked for a super quiet room and was assured it was, instead I am listening to many many kids screaming out my window because of the festivities on the hotel ground below me. I can't even rest after the long flight because of the screaming below me. There is no sound proofing between the rooms and I can hear every word my neighbors are saying. There is black hair all over my bedroom floor and shirt black hairs all over the bathroom shower and bathroom walls. And the shower water doesn’t stay a consistent temperature it goes burning hot to cold to warm on repeat. The gym has a broken spin bike and trash and used water cups thrown about not in the trash. This hotel is a mess.

Staff is very nice, however the day we checked in, they had a water leak so "AFTER" we paid, they then advised us, which was a bit sneaky. Had they provided us notice, we would have found a new hotel, or expect them upon arrival to have made acceptable arrangements. Water was turned off from 10.00 PM until early AM, so if wanted to take a shower or go to the bathroom it was not available. The hotel needs a complete makeover. Carpets were filthy, and the suite was very tiny and oddly organized. This is a definite "NO GO". The bell services were EXCELLENT.

Horrible! Very very friendly staff, but rooms aren’t what you would expect from a sofitel, this is more like a Holiday Inn, and the worst off them. The furniture and carpet haven’t been cleaned or renewed since new!! Staff extra friendly and it’s only worth of staying there
