The food leaves a lot to be desired with 23 Euros for sausage and wet potatoes, directly under a photo that reportedly was sliced steak laid out like sausages… The menu also showed a dish with coquilette with truffle flavoured ham and fried egg . In the photo the ham was hand cut and thick. The ham that was server was wafer thin. The rooms are however good and breakfast quite acceptable.

The hotel is a bit dated (especially the rooms) for novotel standards - not comparable to others i have seen. Having said that, the kids had a blast in the pool, with the games and books provided, they loved it. We also slept well. Big downside: the food in the restaurant was completely overprized and not good, the drinks highly too expensive.

Novotel is supposed to be a 4* hotel, it's one notch below Sofitel in the Accor portfolio. Yet this hotel leaves a lot to be desired, and it is a far cry from 4 stars. Here is a summary of what we put up with over a 3 night span: - They never made our room, even though we put the sign outside, and I personally spoke with the chamber maids, and asked them to do it. - The door's don't close, they get trapped on the carpet; so, unlike other hotels, where you exit the room, and the door closes behind you, here you need to make sure you pull it - Safe box not working - Mini fridge not working - Not enough power sockets near the bed to charge devices - Only one person at the front desk looking after 2 hotels is by far inadequate, there was usually a line of people having concerns at all times. - Food in the restaurant is average at best... THIS IS FRANCE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD... FOOD IS YOUR THING! - The bar is not sufficiently assorted - The breakfast buffet is a joke. The only way to have eggs is scrambled and reheated in a microwave All in all... not a good experience. If you can... stay somewhere else

Used as a stopover to break up journey. Booked a family room for 4 (1 x double & twin camp beds for our teenagers). Rooms perfectly adequate clean & enough space considering 4 of us in there. Bathroom clean & plenty of towels (Shower & sink is separate to the toilet which was helpful). All public area spacious, plenty of seating & good atmosphere. Reception staff were excellent & went over & above to assist.
