What a food let down

We went recently to this hotel on a coach tour. The room was really good and the bed was really comfy. I would just like to mention the food which I thought was really bad especially the last starter which was suppose to be pork. I wouldn't eat it and neither did a few of us and it certainly didn't taste like pork. The salads were dry and boring. Its a shame really as you could quite easily make a meal for 37 very reasonably and it really let the place down. Surprised as others have said that are French friends are suppose to be leaders in cusine. The breakfast as well was boring and honestly scrambled eggs every day. I think in was bacon.? Take a trip to Ireland and the Lodge in Coltraine there food was out of this world.

Great Stay Undermined by Poor Follow-Up After Checkout

I recently stayed at Novotel Saclay during a business trip and, overall, the in-hotel experience was quite good. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast options were varied and enjoyable — a great way to start each day. Staff on site were friendly and helpful during my stay, and everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. However, my experience was unfortunately marred by a serious issue that occurred after I left. I had arranged for a package — which arrived at the hotel shortly after my departure — to be forwarded to a specific address. I confirmed this in advance with hotel staff, who assured me it would not be a problem and even recommended a courier service. I paid for all associated delivery costs and trusted that the matter would be handled as agreed. Regrettably, the package was never sent, and multiple follow-up emails have gone unanswered. This has led to unnecessary stress, financial loss, and the disappearance of the package itself — all of which could have been avoided with proper follow-through and basic communication. It's a shame that such a disappointing post-stay experience has overshadowed what was otherwise a very decent hotel stay. I hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and improves its handling of guest requests after checkout, especially when commitments are made by staff.

Manon and Léana, with whom you spoke, had taken the necessary steps and left the instructions in the sharing tool they use within the team. Unfortunately, the package arrived at the same time as a very busy departure at reception, and the employee who had just started his shift immediately took care of the guests at the desk without checking the instructions in advance. The package arrived at that moment, and since your name appeared as a departing guest, the package was refused. Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience. A credit of 4,000 points has been posted to your All card. You can use them at all Accor-branded hotels worldwide. I hope you'll also mention it on TripAdvisor. Awful food

I don’t tend to put negative reviews but I thought this needed a mention. We were part of a coach tour staying for a few days. Hotel wasn’t busy, Rooms were clean and tidy, Very expensive bar, considering the French are supposed to be renown for their food ,the food here was awful, over cooked and tasteless , some of the serving staff were miserable. Didn’t make you feel welcome here.

My sister and I stayed here as part of a coach group. Room, pleasant enough, view over car park so quiet. Beds comfortable and bathroom clean , shower was great. We could have done with knowing how to operate the air conditioning, no instructions anyway or if there was a fire what to do. Stayed for 4 nights and they did change towels and make the beds for us. Food , breakfast great, cooked and continental so plenty of choice, evening meals, I guess because we were a group that the food was a bit bland and dry some days but overall, I would give food 7/10

Big thanks to the staff at Novotel who made our stay so special, they were especially attentive and kind to my mum who was treated royally! Spacious and quiet room, good breakfast but no cold milk for tea. Very nice outside area with lots of seating and pool. Location is a bit remote and not much going on in Saclay itself.
