es wäre von Ihrer Hoteldirektion korrekt gewesen, wenn Sie uns vorab über die Sanierungsarbeiten in Ihrem Hause informiert hätten. Die Handwerker waren zwar bemüht, den Ablauf des Hotelbetriebes nicht zu beeinträchtigen, aber die Geräusche von Bohrern (z. B.) lassen sich nun mal nicht vermeiden. Der Preis von über 250€ für die Nacht ist daher nicht gerechtfertigt.

You are absolutely right — it would have been more appropriate to inform you in advance about the ongoing refurbishment. Transparency with our guests is essential, and I fully understand your disappointment, especially considering the rate paid for your stay. While our teams and contractors strive to minimize any disturbance and maintain normal hotel operations, we recognize that noise from drilling and construction cannot be completely avoided. This clearly impacted your comfort, and for that we are truly sorry. I also regret that other aspects of your experience, including cleanliness, breakfast selection, and overall value for money, did not meet your expectations.
