I was greeted at reception by Karlo, a manager, not normally at reception. Wonderful experience. Warm and friendly and fast. He brought us to our room, and we received an upgrade. I had booked through Amex, but did not expect this type of upgrade. Anytime we saw Karlo he was smiling and asked if everything was great or if he could do anything. We also had experiences with front desk people Matija and Danica who were also very helpful. Enjoyed the pool area a couple of times. The breakfast buffet has everything that you could want and more. Had lunch on our departure day at the casual restaurant adjacent to the bar on the terrace. The food was great there as well. Housekeeping was prompt and our room had been made up every day by the time we were back from mornings in old town. Would certainly stay at other Rixos properties. Have stayed at other Accor brands and enjoyed those stays as well.

Combined Birthday and wedding week away.

Not often you get exactly as described on the tin. Right from the start with Josip greeting us from the taxi to the lovely reception staff and all other areas, housekeeping, dining room, pool side and bar staff in the various areas , all staff were amazing . Very well appointed hotel, all areas were tastefully and well furnished . We arrived just after a storm had wiped out all of the cabanas and many chairs and areas within the lounging and bathing area. The staff worked ever so hard and efficiently to have the area and pool reopened quickly. If you think breakfast was good with an amazing selection, we tried one of the theme nights, oh my goodness the selection and quality was excellent. All in all a lovely hotel. Very well situated. Great bars and restaurants. Excellent spa facility for guest at no extra charge.

Lovely hotel , nice staff. Ate in the hotel the food is good. Would stay here again if in Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik isn’t cheap and generally the hotel prices are the same as you would find in the Old Town. Forgot to mention the sports bar which when open is ok too managed to watch LFC v Chelsea 😊

The hotel is beautifully situated above the Adriatic and a comfortable 20 minute walk to the old city. We were warmly welcomed at check in by numerous staff members, some of whom remembered us by name the following day. That was impressive at such a large hotel. The rooms all have large patios overlooking the sea. The rooms were not quite as spotless as you would like but otherwise a nice hotel room. Beds large and comfortable. Nice shower, nice bathroom, though we like a proper door to close off the water closet. The public spaces are very nice and they are numerous. The one exception is that the hallways to the rooms are dingy and need new carpeting and better lighting. Breakfast was included, a colossal buffet, but disappointing if you want good fresh fruit, as we did. But the rest ranged from predictable to good to a very nice custom omelette. We had excellent weather so ate outdoors on the huge terrace above the water. The checkout experience was notably good.

The best place for seafood

We had the most incredible meal at the Libertas Fish Restaurant. Seated beside the sea we were treated like royalty by Darko and his team. Octopus, shrimp carpaccio, muscles, calamari, cuttlefish in black risotto followed by grilled red snapper with vegetables. Dessert was delicious too, baklava, freshly baked cookie and ice cream. Best seafood in Croatia, highly recommended.
