The resort is incredible. Villa was tremendous and facilities are great. Truly memorable. What’s more impressive is the staff is so welcoming. They truly want to make a difference for you. Food was outstanding. I think after a week, may want to explore off property options for lunch or dinner. Breakfast at the resort was so good and so convenient that I wouldn’t try anything else. In summary, it was a truly memorable time that was as close to flawless as possible.

Absolutely one of the best Hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. Rooms are beautiful with spectacular views. Cannot say enough good things about Raffles. Incredible views, impeccable service. I recommend it 1000%. I also LOVED the Seychelles and its people!!!

We had 5 lovely days at the resort. Check-in with our butler Aaron was efficient and he was a great resource throughout the stay to handle what we needed in an efficient and personal way - he was available without being intrusive and was absolutely a big plus. The villas are greatly designed, maintained and overall some of the best I have seen in terms of ‘hard product’ (aircon, technology, sound proofing, bedding, etc). Buggy service is efficient at most times and works overall well but as we were close to the pool area choose to walk quite often instead. The food at the restaurants is of very high standard, in particular the asian food is excellent and stands out - the chef ‘boi?’ (as one of the few) was very personal and attentive and helped us with specific food, I could bring to my wife when she was feeling bad. Breakfast is also at high standard which good quality choices both a’la carte, which I prefer to have as an option for the main dish, and great buffet choices on top. The resort works well, there is space and capacity and no rush to find loungers or space at dinners and therefore all in all is a well functioning ‘system’ that creates a good sense of relaxation. In terms of improvement areas it just feels less personal. An example of this is that I do expect, and usually this is possible, to be greeted with my name at breakfast (where we come by every morning) instead of being asked my villa number - at least on the 4th or 5th morning and staff at other resorts are normally great at remembering coffee choices or similar which are small things but just give that extra feel good and Raffles did not manage. Overall the service levels and attentiveness and speed are not up to par with other 5 star resorts - this was most obvious at breakfast (most staff seems to stand in the middle of the restaurant indoors, while most guests are outside having breakfast) - the ‘buttons’ to call service at the pool, kind of gets staff to loose overall attention to the guests they are passing by anyway, which becomes a bit inattentive. Getting an extra piece of lemon seems to be part of a whole new order, instead of just being managed on the fly - so all a bit slow and bit frustrating. Room service times are just too long with more than an hour to get a bowl of plain rice delivered when my wife felt sick. Lunch at the villa was not quick either. When i compare to either Six Senses or Four Seasons we often stay at (similar price range) or the much cheaper Constance Ephelia on Mahe, where we stayed 3 nights before the Raffles, staff at these resort seem to be better trained and make you feel more welcome in an authentic way. My son and I did a lott of diving and used White-tip divers, which is a 10 minute drive away - worked fine but a in-house dive center would have been preferred - as some other resorts in the area have. Finally and this is important as it was an annoyance that increased over the days and a reason for me not to choose or recommend the Raffles again to friends, if not improved, are the pigeons in the resort at the pool and breakfast areas. I love birds and find them to be part of an authentic experience in nature as well as the tropics and I don’t mind the little cheeky bird that tries to get some food now and then - mostly this is cute - but the sheer number of aggressive pigeons at the Raffles is simply too much and needs to be taken care of. In my country we call them ‘flying rats’ in inner cities need to be managed to not take over, which is also the case at the Raffles. One or two is fine but having to defend my food on all sides constantly, having to agree not to go to the buffet together with my family etc is not what I want to spend my holiday breakfast, lunch and dinner time on. Please take action!

Honeymoon review

10/10 experience for our stay here at raffles. We started our honeymoon to the Seychelles with 5 nights at raffles resort in Praslin. From the moment we checked in, we were treated like royalty. The check in staff was incredibly welcoming. The buggy service was prompt and all of the drivers were incredibly friendly and entertaining. The recreation hut stuff was always willing to help us whether it was snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding etc. Edmund and Jude were two of our favorites from the trip! Food was very good. Every morning the breakfast buffet was vast and delicious. Lunch at the pool bar was exceptional. There are 3 main dining areas at night all with different menus and cuisines. They do buffet nights on Wednesdays and Sundays and those were two of our favorite meals. Overall the resort is incredibly clean, modern with the perfect amount of privacy for our intimate honeymoon.

Our experience was top notch. Food was amazing, atmosphere was lovely and Assam made everything super special. We been two nights in a row as everything was superb. We loved the experience and will be back for sure when we will visit again the Seychelles.
