One of my favourite breakfast Places in the World! Stunning view of Sugarloaf Mountain and Copacabana beach. Just a wonderful breakfast experience, and it got Even better with polite help from Edna during the meal. I recommend the amazing feeling you get here any day of the year!

Very good location, safe, fantastic cleaning. Overall outstanding services. For a business trip the only improvement to point by me would be a need for a kind of an office desk in the room (the desk in the room is not appropriated for business).

The service is very poor. Waiting so long for a drink! No one seems to know what they are doing. Food came out spoiled. Even the manager didn’t compensate us. The view in the hotel is great. The pool has a wonderful. Getting our room cleaned each day has been slow as well.

We are in the middle of a 7 night stay here. Overall it’s a nice place but we are really disappointed in the service. The pool / lounge area is a bit small and always a bit crowded, which is unfortunately the only area available to eat / drink much of the time. There is a restaurant next door but it has limited hours. The wait to order and receive a drink is incredibly long in general. They have this thing where one waiter will come by and ask what you want, then nothing ever comes. Someone else will come by and ask if everything is ok. It’s like no one communicates or has any idea what the others are doing. No one takes responsibility or follows thru with the service. We have experienced this on multiple evenings so far. The other night we ordered caviar, the blinis came out stale and moldy, it was gross. They apologized and had no alternative. Currently tonight, we’ve been waiting 45 minutes for a drink. There’s a private event and they don’t have enough staff here. Not what you would expect for a 5 star resort…

I was one of four people travelling in a tour group,checked in at 9.00 at night,my room was not ready,told to sit in the bar have a drink on the house.Got to my room at 9.57,far too late for me eat! At around 11 I decided to go to bed,the bed linen was too damp for me to sleep in,so I changed rooms and got into my new room at 11.40.Whilst at reception I bumped into a couple from my tour,they had paid a handsome supplement for a sea view after being told to check in where I checked in the were told to check in on another floor,went to check in on the other floor,only to be told check in at the original location. Their sea view room turned out to be a view of an apartment bock,could not resolve that evening,another set of customers who did not want to eat so late.Could it get any worse? YES!! The final member of our group a sprites solo septaginarian was escorted to her sea view room only to find it occupied! A huge security issue giving someone a key to a room! My first night in Rio was ruined. You get one chance to make a good impression,Fairmont Rio you failed on a biblical scale.
