A profoundly negative experience at your establishment

Imagine booking your one night accommodation during your exhausting 10-day baltic road trip in a well known hotel under the hotel chain Accor, in order to have a smooth and relaxed experience, but at the end you end up facing multiple negative experience. To start off, we have arrived around 5:00pm and we were waiting for over 25' in the lobby area for the receptionist to check us in. In fact the receptionist was nowhere near the reception. During the checking in process, the receptionist asked us to pay the room and charge us a 50EUR deposit per room (since we have booked two rooms, my credit card was charged 100EUR) for mini bar consumption. Upon check-out (20.09.2025), we have clarified that we have not consumed anything from the mini bar and hence we asked when the deposit will be refunded. Since our stay was during the easter period (Sunday), the receptionist clarified that they might need until the next Wednesday to receive the funds. Long story short, after several calls, emails and discussions with the Hotel, both the ignorant and arrogant personnel along with the management of the hotel (Mr Ernesto), they have been mocking me for over two (2) months indicating that they have proceeded with the refund, while no funds were transferred to my bank account. For those two months, I have repeatedly emailing and calling customer service booking.com who in respect keeped postponing the issue but finally they (booking.com) proceeded with the refund of 100EUR. The above comments were also forwarded to the European Consumer Centre and Accor Group. Overall, a highly unsatisfactory lodging since my stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing. Not only was I unfairly denied a €100 deposit refund despite not using the minibar, but I was also subjected to mocking and disrespectful behavior from the staff. This is entirely unprofessional and unacceptable for any hospitality establishment.

I am shocked to read the glowing reviews for this hotel. Perhaps I have bad luck. My room is relatively small and tired looking. The bathroom is decorated in boring white tiles, and when you take a shower or bath, the water spills onto the floor. The room is quiet. The Internet is good. Our breakfast is included and it is quite good. I don’t particularly like the location of the hotel. I am here on a group tour and we were supposed to stay at the hotel Victoria, which I quickly checked costs twice as much as this hotel. There is no coffee maker in the room. You get a kettle. There was no robe or slippers in the room. I phoned down and they sent me one. If you’re looking for a low cost hotel, this is a good option. But it is not a hotel that I would write very highly. We also had a group dinner here last night. I had soup and a vegetarian option. They also gave us wine with dinner. There was hardly any wine in the glass, the soup was 1/3 of a bowl, and the vegetarian option was a plate of root vegetables. I was definitely still hungry after dinner.

I was quite disappointed with this hotel. The room had a couple of notable issues: - The radiator appeared impossible to turn fully off so it was always emanating a certain amount of heat and making a low noise. This wasn't a major issue as the outside temperature meant the room didn't get too hot, but what was annoying was that in conjunction the air conditioning appears to be de-activated centrally, in that whilst you can 'change' the temperature setting, It didn't appear to actually impact the temperature of the air coming from the vent. - The water drains so slowly from the sink that it is harder to keep clean after use. - The glass shower curtain is so badly designed - leaving a gap at the bottom that the bathroom floor invariably gets flooded and you end up with a permanent puddle of water on the floor. - This wouldn't be such an issue, however they don't actually clean your room unless you specifically ask for it by leaving a hanging sign on your door handle. After four days passed, no-one cleaned my room at all. I discussed this with reception who told me that in fact I had to put this sign on. A silly system, and entirely uncommon. So overall, whilst this hotel might be rated highly on TripAdvisor, the price just isn't worth it in the slightest. I urge the hotel to do better in these areas.

Perfect stay in this beautiful city. Hotel offers large rooms with comfy beds and luxury bathroom. The breakfast is very tasty and consists of fresh and high quality components. Friendly and attentive staff. The location is bit far from the centre and waterfront. Warning - rather expensive accommodation.

For room cleaning you should use white label where is written "COME IN PLEASE" Logically impossible to understand that when you leave you should put that label on the room door. When arrive late evening, was very surprised that room was not cleaned.. no towels changed etc...
