Pros: + great location + beautiful hotel + comfortable rooms + great amenities Cons: - despite the Fairmont brand, this is a 4-star hotel at best - swimming pool is more like jungle gym. They have an adults-only pool but it was full of kids (don't get me wrong, I love kids. But if they set the expectation that there is an area that is for adults only, they should stay true to their promise) - we rented a cabana one day but they didn't allow us to have an umbrella (it's more important to look pretty than to protect guests' skins from the hot sun). Eventually we were able to swap cabanas with another couple who didn't want the umbrella but were not allowed to close it. - New Year's Eve at the restaurant felt like Fyre Festival 2. It took close to an hour to have a waiter take our order. This is not their server fault. It seems to me it was just really bad planning on the hotel side. Will I go back to San Juan? Definitely yes. Will I stay at the Fairmont? Not sure (not a hard no, but not an automatic yes either)

Spend a day on this beautiful property. Clean, modern and trendy. Special shootout to pool employees and servers. Daniel Rodriguez, Jean Carlos (this guy was awesome), Amanda L., Gareliz, Javiazeth and Tryshia. They treat me like a VIP. Thank you guys for your beautiful services.

Our Fantastic Stay at the Fairmount ESJH !!

Sorry it took long to write this.. My wife Maria and I were just at the Fairmount this past April and the stay was magnificent in ever way. I begin with Jimmy and Robert at the front door.. very helpful, very friendly and with lots of tips as to were to go for lunch and dinner (other than the Hotel restaurants) and other helpful hints. The front desk was also very friendly, helpful, very accommodating, and all around very professional. Room service was spot on.. (we usually let them know that our room was ready to be serviced, and they were there in no time !! No delays, ... they left us plenty of towels, a very clean room and bathroom everyday !! The Concierge Desk was outstanding in their guidance and suggestions. Special thanks to others... At the main floor bars ... Bartenders Yosuei (sorry for the misspelling) and Luis were amazing !! Yosuei made making my Vodka Martinis (a somewhat simple drink to make) into a work of art... not just in how he created them with his very fancy pouring technics but well balanced in their taste! Luis was also fantastic in his own way and both added very good tips in touring and dinner suggestions. Take their suggestions.. you wont regret it ! Lastly, thank you to Laura Perez at the Main Pool.. she was a mind reader !! My wife and I were always attended in a speedy manner, accuracy in what we were drinking and just a very polite, friendly person to talk to everyday! Overall, a great place to stay.. impeccable service... outstanding staff, great night life within the hotel itself, beautiful grounds and pools, and at least for us, so easy and quick to get to from New York. We are certainly going back soon and hope that all those great people we met are still there to welcome us again. Thank you. :-)

Mildred in the lobby bar is the best.. we loved our time here and will be back soon!! The espresso MARTINI was so good! The hotel is also so good!!

We had such an enjoyable stay! The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are top notch! Attentive, friendly and helpful. We have to give a special shout out to John with Guest Services who helped us arrange excursions, transportation and provided many helpful tips! Additionally Katherine with the pool service team was outstanding, she really went out of her way to make our experience extra special!
