Mercure Benidorm

Lovely hotel in a great location. 10 minute walk to the old town and 25 minute walk to the strip. Pool area was a lovely oasis with plenty of sunbeds. Stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Rooms are open plan with a door into the shower and another door to the toilet so not much privacy if you want it. Only small problem with the room was not having any drawers other than that would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

This is the second time I visited this hotel. I was in a standard room this time and although it had everything you needed, it definitely didn't live up to the standard of my last visit when we stayed in a deluxe room. We checked in at 2am and realised they had given us a double room when we had requested a twin. I went back to reception and was assured that they would move us the next morning as there were twin rooms checking out. After breakfast I went back to reception who told us we could not move into a twin as they had other people arriving that day who had booked twin rooms. They said they could offer us "Germany beds" meaning we would shared the double bed but have separate sheets. Even though we asked for this it never happened! On the third day of our stay I had an online business meeting to attend and I asked if I could book the meeting room they have. I was told this was not possible for just one person, only for groups. I offered to pay to use the room but was told they would have to check and they would phone my bedroom before the time of my meeting to let me know. They never rang so I had to ask my cousin to leave the room for 3 hours because it was a confidential meeting. I was disappointed that they couldn't accommodate my request when I offered to pay for the meeting room as it wasn't being used. Other than this our stay was great. It was still early before the main season and this meant that there weren't many bar staff during the day. All you needed was a little patience and human decency but some other visitors got quite annoyed at the slow service. This is a mixed review but I have still given the hotel 4 stars because in general it really deserves it. Just a little disappointed with some of the personal challenges we faced.

The cleanest hotel I’ve ever been to. Absolutely beautiful interior and exterior. Not busy as it’s spacious and airy throughout. Rooms are lovely and bright with comfortable bed. Outside area is gorgeous, didn’t attempt the pool as way too cold. Perfect hotel handy for everything. Close to beach and 10/12 minute walk straight into old town for endless choices of food and drink. Will Defintley return

Great location for benidorm. Nice walk to old town. Hotel gorgeous, upgraded to bigger room, bed comfy, shower great. Replenish with coffee and cleaned everyday. Big balcony. Shame the weather wasn't the best as the pool and beds looked amazing. The trees made you feel like you were somewhere else ! Breakfast variety was amazing, processco on tap for breakfast 😋 all types of food to suit all. Highly recommend. I left an item in the hotel room, Miguel kindly help me get it back, they went above and beyond. So massive thank you for that ! If going benidorm in future would definitely come back !

Lovely clean modern hotel with all the facilities you could need for luxurious stay at a very reasonable cost. Reception and cleaning staff were so helpful. Location was spot on, with a handy chemist right opposite and a well stocked shop a minute walk away. Nothing was too much bother, from bringing milk to the room to lending us the hotel wheelchair to use for the day. Breakfast was amazing, so many options that catered for every need. You could even have cava and gateaux if you fancied it. Rooms were spotless with a fabulous shower, hairdryer was top notch, not like your usual hotel hairdryer. There was a handy fridge as well. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation and would definitely stay again. Thank you for an amazing time ❤️☺️
