Food and coffee are very good. It is a good hotel but the parking is not managed very good. Don’t have fitness room. The staff is open for clients.

Me and 6 of my friends slept in the hotel for 2 nights in 7 different rooms. The hotel is good. The rooms are nice and clean. The toilets and the shower are small. The breakfast is OK. The staff are very kind. The location is good and the hotel has a parking. Good hotel to stay in Galati

Amazing bar and restaurant staff Roshan and shan most friendly, outstanding service. The new asian menu is an recommendation the food from chef Sampath is delicious. Hotel rooms are good and cleaning services are good! Would definitely recommend a stay in this hotel

Been 2 weeks at Hotel Mercur in Galati. The hotel is really nice, excellent rooms and very nice staff. I want to give my special thanks to Roshan, Shan for their outstanding service. Also chef Sampath and Silva for their amazing food! I will definitely visit again when I get the chance!

Worst place to stay

I stayed for 5 nights at this hotel this year and 2 nights last year. Last year, I paid for a superior double room and received a nice and clean room with a spacious balcony. Because of that, I chose to stay at this hotel again this year and booked a similar superior double room. Unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed with the room I received this year. It had a strong sewage smell, a tiny balcony, and a dirty carpet. I spoke to the reception the next day and they gave us a much cheaper twin room with worn-out furniture and no minibar, but at least it didn't smell as bad as the other one. On the third day, they asked if we wanted to move to a room with a double bed and I was told that I could see the room beforehand. Guess what? When I went to see the room, it had an extremely strong sewage smell, so I refused it and explained the reason for my refusal. I checked in on Monday and was leaving on Saturday, but they kept trying to move me from one room to another, claiming that they needed the twin room. The next morning, I realized that the Dinamo team was staying for one night, and that's why they were trying to move me from the twin room to a room with a double bed and a sewage smell. The breakfast was cold every morning and had a very limited selection. Overall, I had a quite unpleasant experience and I will never return to this hotel. At check-out, the receptionist followed us to the parking lot and asked for our cnp claiming that it wasn't taken at check-in. I gave it to them.
