SLS South Beach Miami

We just got back from a weeklong cruise in the Caribbean, and before we left Miami to head back to the United Kingdom, my husband and I made arrangements with some of our friends to get day pass to the SLS Miami hotel. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a gentleman named Tony who was quite courteous. We were met with a grin and he made every effort to assist us in settling in for the day. Shortly after our arrival we were hailed by the Manager, who went by the name "Francesco,". Under normal circumstances, it is reasonable to anticipate that a Hotel Manager will set an example for his team by providing exceptional customer service and leading by example. Francesco, on the other hand, did not behave in this manner. While we were picking up one of our bags, he spoke to us in an impolite manner and asked us what we were going to do with the bags and where they were going. We informed them that we had a day pass for the SLS and that we were looking forward to swimming at the pool for the entire day. It was at this point that he informed us that we were unable to leave our bags with them and that we were required to find alternative arrangements outside the hotel because "there is no baggage storage because of limited space." When we inquired about what we were supposed to do, he suggested that we either rent a room for the six hours or again leave our luggage in the luggage storage area elsewhere . Which meant that we had no other option other than to pay for a room for the day to store our bags. The fact that he was able to provide us with a discount on the room is something that should not be overlooked because it would be impolite. In general, however, the experience was unpleasant, and it was an experience that was not necessary. I would like to express my gratitude to Tony for going above and above and making an effort to rectify the situation. However, after all this we wasted a significant amount of time, effort, and energy in dealing with this scenario. Which just required a few bags to be stored for a few hours until they were needed. (And we are aware that there was space available in the luggage room)

The staff was great from the get go. Bell service was impeccable and the room was good for the price. The location is vibrant and has many different options to explore walking distance. Overall a great experience.

Great place to stay with your friends and family, there are two pools, great views bedrooms, the valet service is great, just the Japanese food is not good but I’ll give 5 stars for the price and all stuff you can have fun in the hotel

The scene is second to none, as is the location. Incredibly accommodating staff, no request was too big or small. By the way, the grilled cheese at the bar restaurant is excellent. The drink selections are of a great variety.

I actually love this place. It’s super hip and the service is amazing. I would make this my go to hotel if I could afford to come here everyday. This is the best hotel in Miami and I wouldn’t highly recommend.
