Good points:- Room on 8th floor was large and had a fantastic view. Room was very clean. Poor points:- Room was very cold. Heating was ineffective. No heating at all in bathroom, which was freezing. Stay was spoilt be being cold most of the time. Windows screwed or mastic'd closed to try and stop the very noticeable draughts. Seemed poorly maintained.

Wonderful Christmas Party Experience We recently visited this hotel for a Christmas party, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The decorations were beautiful and truly captured the festive spirit, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, and well-organized, making sure everything ran smoothly throughout the evening. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options, and everything was well presented and fresh. The drinks service was prompt, and the overall arrangement of the event was excellent. The music and entertainment added to the fun and kept the energy high all night. It was a memorable evening, and everyone in our group had a great time. Highly recommended for anyone planning a Christmas party or special event. We would definitely visit again

We had a truly wonderful Christmas party at the hotel 🎄✨. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly welcoming—they really made the evening memorable 😊. I’d highly recommend this place for any festive celebration! It was honestly a much better experience than my last visit, and we’ll definitely be coming back.

I stayed here for work for 3 nights. I was given a room on the 7th floor. It stunk of toilet and the bathroom was not cleaned. The reception staff immediately found me another room. It was slightly better. However, you must definitely take your own cleaning materials to this hotel. There were stains on the bathroom door,bin, side tables etc. My room was opposite the lift and the door had a missing chain. The safe was broken and making a ticking noise all night. The aircon rumbles intermittently all night long. My bed linen was washed but had stains/ marks i suspect are stuck. Lights are extremely dim and room is dark & dingy so if recommend bringing your own lamp if you want to work. No wardrobe, clothes hang on a rail. No ironing board or iron. ( you can ask at reception) The breakfast is an austerity breakfast. Has the basics but tastes and feels budget. Honestly, this is what I imagined travelodge is like. It's fine if you don't look too closely at anything. But I had to go and get dettol and wipes to make it sanitary. Location is ideal, very central. Plenty of parking. Staff were very pleasant and responsive and helpful. But I got tired of complaining.

I have given a rating of terrible because if I put a lower rating you would think I had overlooked the question.

If I put my actual rating of this experience you would think I had missed the question .. It's a BIG ZERO. Works Xmas party on 6th Dec 25. We started with a leak from our drink 'bath' on the table containing our bevvies for the evening, the colour of the leak can only be described as sewerage discharge which stained the whole table cloth. The table cloth wasn't changed but our container was exchanged for 3 fire buckets. We sat for about 19.30 pm , waiting for god knows how long for a very sad looking starter , a watered down shrimp cocktail, another hour atleast for the main course and I'm told desert arrived at 11.00 PM. I didn't wait for it because my main was only served at 22.00. There were in excess of 200 people in our dining room with 5 untrained members of staff serving us. On behalf of my Boss who spent good money on this fiasco , YOU SHOULD REFUND EVERYONE WHO WAS THERE, especially the group who went out to McDs and brought it back to the table. This is a true account of my experience , If it is not too late then cancel your booking, thank god I didn't book a room for the night.!!
