My partner and I usually stay at the Mecure several times a year for many years. Usually the the rooms are in good order. This time however a very drafty window compelled us to ask for a room change, the temperature in the room was uncomfortable on a windy and chilly December evening..The receptionist Aiysha did her best to help and sorted a room change promptly.

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff, breakfast was tasty and room was spacious. Room was tidy when i arrived. I went down for breakfast after 8pm and food was still available, hot and plenty of space to sit overlooking the river. Staff were friendly, polite and professional

Good points:- Room on 8th floor was large and had a fantastic view. Room was very clean. Poor points:- Room was very cold. Heating was ineffective. No heating at all in bathroom, which was freezing. Stay was spoilt be being cold most of the time. Windows screwed or mastic'd closed to try and stop the very noticeable draughts. Seemed poorly maintained.
