Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had

Check-in was scheduled for 5:00 PM, yet we did not receive our room keys until 6:20 PM. During this time, we were made to wait in the lobby. Each time we asked whether our room was ready, we were told to stand again in the same check-in line, which was approximately 30 minutes long. We checked on the room over four times, and only after changing our tone and asking to speak to a supervisor were the keys finally handed to us. When we entered the room, it was filthy. The carpet was visibly dirty, giving the impression that it had not been properly cleaned or sanitized. Basic amenities were missing or unusable — there was no shower gel or soap, and the shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty. The hair dryer did not function properly. It would only work periodically, forcing me to turn it off and wait several minutes before turning it back on again. Even when it did work, it was very poor quality and barely produced any air. The Wi-Fi was extremely poor, making internet access unreliable throughout the stay. Additionally, the TV channel guide sheet in the room, which listed the channels and their corresponding numbers, contained spelling errors, reflecting a lack of basic attention to detail. There were also cakes displayed in the lobby with no napkins or plates, and guests were grabbing the desserts by hand. This was extremely unhygienic and a clear health concern, allowing germs to spread openly in a shared public space. Overall, this hotel showed a complete lack of organization, cleanliness, and basic hospitality standards. I would not recommend staying here and would strongly advise management to seriously address these issues.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The hotel is extremely old, worn out, and poorly maintained. Cleanliness levels are unacceptable across all areas—from the hallways to the rooms. Room service was slow, inefficient, and far from professional. We booked the room based on specific photos, but upon arrival, the room looked completely different from what was advertised. We requested to change the room multiple times, but the response was inadequate and disappointing. The most shocking issue was that hotel staff removed our luggage and left it outside the door when they noticed we were not inside the room. This behavior is highly unprofessional and a serious safety concern. Security at the hotel is extremely weak—anyone can access all floors without a key card, raising major concerns about guest safety and protection. One of the rooms also had water leaking from the wall, and the carpet was damp, moldy, and had a strong unpleasant smell. We filed an official complaint, yet no action was taken. Even after reporting the issue, the wall continued to leak and the carpet remained wet without any intervention. Conclusion: ❗ The hotel is dirty, unsafe, and offers very poor services. I do not recommend it at all. A truly frustrating and disappointing experience by every standard.

Stayed at the Movenpick in Marrakesh recently which was a fabulous stay so decided to book the same for my Saudie Arabia trip to Madina however I wasn’t impressed at all with this Movenpick . I stayed in a quad room which was not so bad in size however it has a very small bathroom with a very low toilet. I didn’t like the idea of having to order a blanket etc online as even after several requests I didn’t still receive them.Breakfast was average. The food is spread out awkwardly so it’s abit of a pain looking for what you want.
