I was checked in by an older man, who told me to use the app to get the welcome for Accor members. I explained that I didn’t have the app on my phone and could I have a voucher please. He then told me I had to have the app to get the welcome drink. In all my stays at Accor hotels, I have never had this happen before. He was quite brusque and dismissive of me too. Apart from the (un)welcome, the wifi is very poor, and the noise from the highway outside is intrusive.

I chose ibis Styles mainly for its location. Normally, I prefer staying at Mercure Nagoya since it's slightly closer to the station, but the rate this time was too high due to last-minute booking (just 3 days before arrival). I got a 4-day, 3-night stay here for JPY 38,083 – a pretty good deal. To be honest, I barely used the room during this trip (early mornings, late nights – a real whirlwind tour). But the hotel was super convenient, just around a 10-minute flat walk from Nagoya Station, which connects JR, Shinkansen, Meitetsu, Kintetsu, and the subway. Easy and hassle-free to get around. I booked a Standard Room with 2 single beds - Non Smoking and was given a lovely corner room (1320). The room had great natural light, felt open and airy, and had simple minimalist decor. The bathroom had a separate wet/dry zone, with excellent water pressure – seriously satisfying! Amenities were all thoughtfully prepared, and there was even a welcome set with a handwritten note and some snacks. Staff were polite, friendly, and could communicate reasonably well in English. They mostly followed standard scripts, but if you speak some Japanese, you’ll get much more detailed and clear explanations – always with a smile and willingness to help, especially during check-in, which felt very welcoming. As a Platinum member, I received: Complimentary breakfast daily (just give your room number, and the F&B staff will seat you), Early check-in from 11:00, and late check-out until 15:00, Welcome drinks redeemable via the app. Breakfast was good – a mix of Japanese and international options: rice, curry, grilled fish, soup, eggs, bread, salad, fresh coffee, juice. Refills were frequent, no waiting needed. That said, as with many hotels in Japan, the menu was pretty much the same each day. Around the hotel, things are super convenient. There's a 7-Eleven on the corner, less than a minute’s walk, and a Katsuya restaurant right next door with delicious and affordable meals starting at just 500+ yen. You also get a coupon for your next visit. Down in the underground passage, there’s a great ramen place too. In the evening, you can walk to the Nagoya Station area for some local eats – unagi rice bowls or pork cutlets at Yabaton, famously featured in Your Name (located inside Meitetsu department store). Overall, ibis Styles Nagoya is perfect for those looking for a convenient, no-fuss hotel near the station. It's easy to roll your luggage from the station without stairs or hassle, plenty of food options nearby, and you get full use of Accor membership benefits. A cozy, well-rounded stay – ideal whether you're traveling for work or leisure.

Our family stayed at ibis Styles Nagoya for a few nights and had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, modern, and worked well for our needs — a bit on the smaller side, but that’s to be expected in Japan, and it was thoughtfully laid out. One thing to be aware of: it’s a bit of a walk from Nagoya Station, which felt a little long when managing luggage and traveling with kids. However, once we got settled, the location turned out to be very convenient. There were lots of restaurants nearby, giving us plenty of easy options for meals, and several convenience stores (combinis) just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel, which made grabbing quick snacks, drinks, or anything we forgot to pack super simple. We also really enjoyed the coffee available downstairs — it was a nice bonus for the adults to grab a cup before heading out for the day. The lobby had a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere where we could rest and plan our outings. Overall, ibis Styles Nagoya was a great fit for our family — clean, affordable, and in a location that made it easy to eat well and find what we needed. We’d happily stay here again for a family trip!

The place was accessible to convenience stores and restaurants. There are train and bus stations that you can easily access thru walking. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was just right. The room was clean which is the most importantly thing for us.

Stayed a night at Ibis Style Nagoya. The hotel is not far away from Nagoya Train Station (about 9 minutes walk) and it is close to Yanagibashi Central Market. The hotel's design is very cool, chic and modern. Love it.  The room is well appointed and it is slightly larger than other economical hotels in the same vicinity. Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants accessibility, space and functionality.
