Despite a lot of people checking in, the process was very smooth and simple. The room was clean, comfortable and in a good location 100m from the beach. We requested our room to be close to another couple we knew were staying there and our requested was granted. Welcome gift was an added bonus. Because of the great restaurants across the road we did not use any inhouse facilities. They do have Happy Hour everyday and a huge beer garden. Tennis and lawn bowls options avaliable. And a small putting green. Despite the large number of guest rooms, the resort is large and well laid out so you do not feel part of a crowd. But could be extremely busy over christmas / new year. Highly recomend for those seeking a beach staycation.

Excellent accommodation,polite stuff very clean room and beautiful view at the sea!!!I honestly suggest it for couples and families because its next to the waves with beautiful surroundings and easy to walk to the town where u can found good restaurants.Im looking forward to visit again this excellent place!!!

Mantra Lorne exudes a wonderful ambience that's peaceful and relaxing, complete with a gym and an indoor swimming pool. Right next to the beach, walking distance from shops and restaurants. Friendly staff delivering excellent service. We have stayed here twice already. Would be even better if the table tennis was available all year round and not only during the school holidays. My son was looking forward to playing with his dad, like the last time we stayed here.

Really the best thing about Mantra Lorne was the location right on Main Street and by the beach. Otherwise, it is a tired, albeit pretty, family resort. With the water-damaged wooden doors, scuffs in the bathtub and other parts of the apartment, it just needs a touch up again to be fresh again. It could also be cleaned better, although I didn't really mind apart from the dead bugs in the bathroom. Facilities wise - breakfast was decent. The gym really needs air-conditioning, especially since it captures lots of heat from the busy heated swimming pool next door. Tennis courts were nicely kept and fun, when you could get a suitable slot.

I had two rooms booked, one for friends with their son, so a one bedroom apartment, and my husband and I stayed in a Heritage room. The bed in the apartment was not made up, albeit we confirmed that there would be 3 persons in that room, and we would return in several hours to find only a double bed available, so it was rectified after our second advice. Our room in the Heritage area, was the furthest room available I'd say, with no lifts, and no prior advice or warning as to the distance and climb with luggage, and clearly we are not young. The bathtub is ridiculously deep to the floor, and probably needs a step to get out without falling over. I find staff at reception do not listen to what is being said to them, requiring repetition every time.

The Heritage building is 150 years old and is only accessible via stairs to the Level 2 and 3 Accommodation Rooms.
