Easy trip from airport PPP. Very relaxed atmosphere and we arrived in the morning about 10am. Had a little wait for our room. So went to have a coffee in their restaurant. Met Jude who was the morning manager. For the rest of our stay being treated by Jude happy upbeat greeting and chat in the morning was a fantastic start to our day! She is a brilliant person to have in a hotel setting. Thanks Jude for making our stay

The most dreadful hard beds

I love Club Croc and have stayed here for years. Each visit I think I’m not coming back because the beds are so dreadfully hard, but I do. I stayed in room 357 this time and felt the bed was extra bad, it didn’t help the room wasn’t serviced during my 5 night stay. They changed their policy during covid regarding servicing rooms but 5 nights is ridiculous in my opinion these days!

Reception staff were super friendly with check in and later helped with some travel recommendations. Location was great as it wasn't far out of the main busy hub of Airlie central and was on the highway, close to other services and the boardwalk. Location is ideal for airport shuttle as well. Room was clean, fresh and reflected the relaxed beach lifestyle. Bed was comfortable and shower had great water pressure. There were a couple disappointing aspects: the state of the clothes airer (on the deck) and the outdoor air con unit were very weathered, and both were rusty. The clothes airer was very flimsy but did the job. A bit more privacy would be ideal on the deck, away from the room/s next door. The shower also leaked at the corner edge so half the bath mat got soaked. I forgot to mention this upon checkout. Lagoon pool was so inviting and lovely to swim in, regret only having 1 swim! Buffet breakfast great value for money - lots of choices, some foods weren't covered up though as expected. Our first night there we opted for dinner on site and meals were delicious, but the wait staff weren't too friendly /helpful. There was a laundry on site as the resort doesn't offer regular housekeeping (probably the only hotel I've stayed at that doesn't offer it and need to request it), so it's good to have a laundry onsite but would've been nice for this service to be complimentary. Overall, a comfortable and relaxing stay!
