Last year (2024), I made the decision to take a break from work and dedicate some time to myself, reflecting and planning for the upcoming months. I chose to visit Boa Vista. While searching for the ideal place to stay, I discovered ibis styles, and I must say, my experience there was fantastic. I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel during my birthday getaway. It was cozy and offered a delightful breakfast selection.

It has a cool design, but there's room for improvements

I usually stay at the Ibis when I travel to Boa Vista. It has a really cool design, and the staff is often very friendly, which makes you feel welcome. Nevertheless, the hotel has maintenance issues that do not seem to be solved overtime. This time I was told the hotel was overbooked, and although I had made may reservation weeks in advance, I was given a room which was full of problems. In the bathroom, the shower ceiling was stained by what seemed to be a water leakage. There’s often one single towel for face and shower, and other times there are two mats, but still only one towel. The safe was out of order, and it was not possible to repair it. The air conditioner had commercial stickers on it, and two ugly holes on the wall underneath it. One could notice that its installations was not done properly. The beautiful mirror frame and parts of the furniture were damaged. The curtains and parts of the wall were dirty. The nice design armchair fabric faded by the sunlight. In some rooms, the nice, and practical led lights under the bed and on the walls do not work, as you see on the hotel site pictures, and I recommend they are changed or repaired, as needed. The side table digital clock with speakers was missed. The hall of floor was a little out of maintenance as well. Half of the floor was not illuminated, and we were left in the dark until we reached the elevators. The button of one of the elevators was out of order, and during rush hours there was a little wait for the other elevator. Also, one day we felt a strong unpleasant smell in the hall that needs to be checked. The breakfast buffet provides a range of tasty foods, and now the tapioca is served fresh upon order. But I miss the jam selection to go with it that used to be available. Another good news is that the hotel now provides a lunch menu, which is very practical, mainly when you prefer to stay at the hotel during lunch time. I still think that the hotel is a nice place to stay in Boa Vista, and that the distance to downtown is not a problem. Most of the time taxis are available and Uber taxis are not expansive. But the Ibis is the most expansive hotel in town, and I would be very much pleased if maintenance services improved quickly to be up to meet higher quality standards.

Since you get to the entrance of the hotel you could feel this is a different nice facility. The reception area is small but still adequate. Once you step out from the elevator at the assigned floor the lights of the corridor automatically turns on. You get into the room and it is decorated in a very modern way. Very nice looking. And the bathroom, even though it is small, it has an excellent layout that make it very confortable and look much larger. Breakfast is very good with different options. There is a very nice shopping mall a couple of minutes walking from the hotel.

The acommodations are new, but the wifi is horrible! If you need connection to work, I would say this hotel is a no go! Besides this, the staff is friendly and the room is fine. air conditioning works pretty well.

Thanks for sharing your lodging experience in our hotel, your opinion is very important to us and to other destination travelers. We are suffering with instabilities in the link from our broadband provider. All the Internet of the state of Roraima arrives via optical fiber coming from Manaus, this fiber regretfully suffers constant breaks leaving our state with a very low signal quality. Sorry for what happened. We look forward to your next stay with us.

Modern and efficient

The Zii hotel is very new and efficient. It's locate on the far side of the airport out of town. However, there is a shopping mall and a supermarket next to the hotel. Moreover, there is a very good churrasco place in easy walking distance. Otherwise there is nothing around. As one can expect from a newly built hotel, rooms are modern and clean. Breakfast was OK.
