A resort near the UNESCO Hongcun village. Nice picturesque surroundings with mountains Nice check in. Room very nice with a balcony. You can tell it’s a Singapore chain, Channel News Asia is the first channel 😂 More Singapore touches when you see laksa broth at the breakfast restaurant Good medium sized gym Very good service throughout the hotel. GM Max also gave a friendly welcome 9/10

Don't go unless you want frustrating experience!

The terrible service is damaging to the nice brand. Front desk was rude. The room was dated and lacked maintenance. Buggy service never came or came on time. Only the spa and restaurants probably lived up to the name of Banyan Tree. We stayed 2 nights and regret spending such money on this hotel.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff and big rooms. The pool area is quiet and heated and there is beautiful scenery from a lot of places in the hotel. The little area with goats and ducks are super cute and you can feed them. Lovely for kids. Restaurant is ok although not foreigner friendly as some would expect from a banyan tree resort. Go for Chinese.

Banyan tree is my go to place for travel to unfamiliar places. Beautiful scenery, excellent service, foreigner friendly (though a command in Chinese will help here). Place is extremely beautiful grounds with crisp mountain air, lush greenery. Cute mini farm with goats, ducks, cute piglets. The spa is Banyan Tree standard - I went for a 90 minute custom therapy with Miki and she’s really good. Props also to the staff at the travel desk who gave excellent advice and Mingyue restaurant for packing our meals when we went out for trips; and took the railway back. Thanks for taking care of my elderly parents On the note of senior friendliness, the property is built on undulating terrain so not all the places are wheelchair accessible. I ended up ordering room service which was just as good full menu The heated pool is breathtaking too! And not cold when you get out. Strongly recommend this place one of my faves so far

We are very happy with our decision to stay at Banyan Tree instead of the mountain top. The hotel is clean, well maintained and quiet, a great getaway from the crowds. Breakfast spread is excellent and the food quality is consistently good throughout our stay. Would definitely choose Banyan Tree again if we ever revisit Huangshan.
