モンスーン時期でアクティビティができなかったが、美味しい料理とスタッフの明るいホスピタリティで楽しく過ごせた。 シンガポールからフェリーは、少し揺れて子供は皆気分が悪くなっていた。

Menginap di hotel bintang 5 yang ada di bintang, sekalian mengikuti mandiri bintang marathon, view yang sangat bagus dan staff yang sangat ramah, tidak kalah dengan sarapan di tree tops yang sangat enak

Banyan Tree Bintan – Traumhafte Lage, aber leider insgesamt enttäuschend. Wir haben uns sehr auf unseren Aufenthalt im Banyan Tree Bintan gefreut – und die Lage hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Der Strand ist ein echtes Highlight: makellos sauber, gepflegt und schöner als jeder Strand, den wir auf Bali gesehen haben. Auch der Golfplatz ist hervorragend und die Natur rund um das Resort ist beeindruckend – tropischer Dschungel pur. Doch leider endet das positive Erlebnis hier. Die Villen sind extrem in die Jahre gekommen. Möbel sind alt und abgenutzt, keine Schranktür schließt richtig, Fußleisten sind aufgequollen, Fenster und Türen undicht. Die Villen stehen zwar idyllisch im Urwald, aber bei einem 5-Sterne-Hotel erwarte ich, dass die Tierwelt draußen bleibt. Wenn unter der Tür jedoch Spalten von 2–3 cm offenstehen, ist das schlicht nicht akzeptabel – besonders nachts, wenn man sich kaum traut, zur Toilette zu gehen. Die Restaurants sind okay, aber die Weinauswahl ist enttäuschend: qualitativ schwach und völlig überteuert. Cocktails waren ebenfalls nicht überzeugend. Das Personal ist freundlich, aber leider schlecht geschult und sehr langsam – was den Servicegedanken eines Luxusresorts vermissen lässt. Fazit: Wer Ruhe, Natur und einen traumhaften Strand sucht, wird hier fündig. Wer jedoch Wert auf gepflegte Unterkünfte, guten Service und gehobene Gastronomie legt, sollte seine Erwartungen deutlich herunterschrauben oder sich nach Alternativen umschauen.
