Where to start ? We only booked the week before we came looking for somewhere to completely chill and apart from the hard work or the amazing food and drink we have, this is sadly our last day 😢. This place has it all the food is great they are very accommodating to all requests via the whats app messaging service , you ask and within minutes it’s done . The boat shuttle service to the private beach is just the icing on the cake departing every 5 minutes and in 5 mins you’re at the beach with white sand and crystal clear water . Tonight will be our third time eating at Peopes restaurant with lovely friends we met here they have accommodated our request for prawns ( not on the menu) . The free boat trip is a must tonight we are also doing the sunset cruise . Evening live entertainment is good although the cinema Sundays is questionable but they provide popcorn lovely touch ! The rooms are huge with nespresso coffee machines and a mini bar , all re stocked daily . Local market Sundays small but ok for gifts will take all currency . Gocek a lovely ten minute walk along the harbour. Just wish the cabanas on the price beach were cheaper as we would have treated ourselves but I get that side of the beach is very expensive accommodation and exclusive . All in all amazing and would return thank you

Anyone travelling with coeliac disease (gluten free) will know how incredibly difficult it is, so if you are reading this and have Coeliac or know someone that does, please pass this recommendation onto them. We visited Rixos Premium Gocek....and indeed Turkey, for the first time in 2022. I must say, I was very apprehensive due to my condition but thankfully after reading a few positive reviews, I listened to my husbands request. We were not only pleasantly surprised but whole heartedly had the holiday of our lives. Since then, with a heart to help others navigate this disease we decided to launch The Coeliac Travel Consultant (Travel agent focusing on the area of Coeliac travel) and revisited the hotel this year where again Chef Selcuk Avinal treated us with the utmost care and attention, following us to wherever we were on the Rixos complex, to cook us breakfast, lunch (even at the beach) and dinner, to ensure it was safe for me. Never before, anywhere in the world have I experienced the level of choice and standard of food. Breakfast included options of freshly baked bread and pancakes as well as the usual omelettes and fruits. Lunch ranged from salads, pasta and even homemade filled flatbreads (savoury and sweet) Dinner is where it came into its own. Each night was a complete gastronomic experience. Trying to explain this would do it an injustice! We had course after course of gluten free delights designed, cooked and served up by Chef Selcuk. This even included a new dessert each night (I will be forever dreaming of that baked cheese cake) As my husband pointed out, to be able to share our food together was so special. It was also some of the best food he's ever had and he's not Coeliac!! We want to shout out to Haydar, Ahmet and team in Peoples restaurant who looked after us each night, top service from true gentlemen. As an overview, this relaxing, adults only hotel is in an idilillic location just a few minutes stroll from the small up market Marina town of Gocek. Our favourite area of the hotel is the secret beach which is accessed by free boat and is the most stunning place to relax and sip cocktails made by the lovely Ritchie and his team who we were so looking forward to seeing again this year. During our trip the food and beverage manager took time to meet with us and discuss our unique concept. We were so encouraged by the fact that this management team is clearly trying to improve things for guests with dietary requirement as it shows a lot of care and attention, something we received in abundance here. That includes us having GF beer throughout our trip on request and gf cookies and cake on arrival. Until next time Rixos Gocek...

Overall the hotel is amazing, very spacious and in a good location. Arrival We were greeted in the lobby by a member of the hotel’s team. They sat us down, brought us some drinks and checked us in. Once we had completed check in, we were taken to our room by a porter on a golf cart with our luggage. Room Our room was located in block 17. We had requested a ground floor room as from other reviews we noticed that the first floor rooms did not have a balcony. The room was very spacious with a lovely en-suite, huge bed and seating area. Food and Drink Breakfast was nice, we ate breakfast in the main restaurant each morning, the food was what you typically expect from a Turkish hotel. Lots of pastries, bread, salads and cheeses. They were freshly cooking amazing omlettes. Lunch is served in the ala carte Peoples restaurant, food is really nice with amazing waiting staff always happy to help and top up your drinks. We ate the Italian restaurant one evening, food was very nice. I think we had 5 or 5 courses, waiting staff were amazing and at €25 per person great value for money. The main buffet restaurant serves lovely food, although dinner can be a little repetitive with the same sort of dishes being served each night- overall the food was very good. We had lunch in the Azure restaurant one day, which is near the beach by the Club Prive part of the hotel. A wonderful setting overlooking the beach Beach The beach is lovely, it’s away from the main hotel, but with the boats going back and forward all the time it’s only a few minutes away. There is a snack bar and a beach bar there. Hotel staff are always coming around the sunbeds asking if you would like anything to drink or ice creams. Pool The only real disappointment of the holiday was the pool. As we were visiting in late October and previous experience of Turkey at that time of year we booked Rixos because they have a heated pool. The pools are usually cold at this time of year, but unfortunately the hotel had not turned the heating on in the pool meaning it was too cold to spend any time in- the sea was warmer. There were a few people braving the cold though! Staff The hotel staff were amazing throughout our stay, always happy to see you, they really couldn’t do enough for you. Always checking with you to see if you would like a drink or anything else. I feel there could have been a small animation team, not a loud pushy one something keeping with the atmosphere at Rixos Gocek. All the activities are very health based but there was no one coming around to see if you would like to get involved with anything- just a board telling you what they were doing at what time down near the gym. Overall our stay at Rixos Gocek was amazing, really enjoyed our time there but it was a little on the quiet side. The evening entertainment was live music each night, with only one evening being a let down, but that just be more to do with my taste - but I did notice the bar emptying quite quickly during the performance.

So, finally got around to writing a review of our first stay at Rixos Premium Göcek, and we cannot wait to return. We save all year for our much needed 2-week holiday - and it was as close to perfect as we've ever got. The biggest plus point for us was how relaxing it was. No loud music round the pool. No hassle from staff trying to get you to join in activities. No screaming kids. We were spoiled rotten. My husband, who is usually a beach person, actually preferred to stay round the pool - being brought cold bottles of water, iced lattes, delicious green apple 'frozens' (with optional rum). And you could even help yourself to free ice creams! As if that wasn't enough there is a Starbucks on site which is included in the All Inclusive! Staff do not expect to be tipped but a few were too good not to reward: Elip, Dilay (round the pool), the lady in the turban, and the guy with a goatee. And Ramazan in Guest Relations was sooo lovely. And efficient. Something to be aware of is that the hotel does not have a beach on site. You have to travel round the cove on a shuttle boat to the beach. Also a negative is that the food in the Turquoise restaurant wasn't hot. They could also do with another lunch option: maybe a snack bar or barbeque. But we wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you Rixos Premium Göcek for giving us a wonderful holiday!

Our thanks to the management and staff at the Rixos Premium Gocek for a hugely enjoyable holiday. The hotel, its grounds and setting way exceeded our expectations, as did the quality and choice of food available in the four restaurants. But it is the staff who make the place special with their considerable courtesy, friendship, care and general attentiveness. I would in particular thank Yesim who was at all times delightful and highly professional in conducting her management role. We are booking to return in 2025 with our three adult children and their partners.
