My wife and I recently returned from a very enjoyable holiday in Dubrovnik, staying at the Rixos Premium Hotel on a TUI 7-day holiday (bed and breakfast only). On arrival we were very kindly given a free upgrade from a standard to a superior room. On arrival, guests are given a complimentary drink of their choice, including champagne, and an individual welcome by Carlo (whose exclusive job role is customer care). Carlo explained the layout of the hotel and its excellent facilities. The hotel is in an outstanding position overlooking the Adriatic Our room was spacious with a good view. The room was very clean and comfortable with a luxurious bed and very effective air conditioning. Facilities at the hotel were second to none, including a beach bar and swimming pools inside and outside. My wife used the indoor pool and jacuzzi on several occasions and loved them. Breakfast was superb with the widest range of food I have ever seen in a hotel. This included champagne, continental breakfast and cooked breakfast (including delicious porridge and a full range of English breakfast items). The hotel was immaculately maintained and all staff with whom we interacted were friendly and proactively helpful. The old city in Dubrovnik is easily reached by either a walk of a circa 25-minute walk downhill or, more easily, by taking a number 4 bus from a bus stop less than 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel. These buses runs every 10-15 minutes or so and the cost is 2.5 euros for a single journey if payment (using cash or a contactless payment) is made on the bus for a single journey. Slightly cheaper single tickets costing 1.8 euros can be bought at a bus company ticket booth at the bus terminus point located at the Pile (west) gate. My wife and I agreed this is the best hotel at which we have stayed, and we intend to return to it in the future.

Had a weeks stay at the Rixos, it is a good location circa 15mins walk into the old town, down hill so be mindful obviously up hill on the way back. The hotel itself is very clean, a really good breakfast buffet caters for all tastes. Good service and friendly staff in the main, however, it does not meet the expected 5star status and the associated price tag. The price point can not be justified, 6euros for a bottle of water to 18euros for Gin and Tonic, 30euros for a burger etc etc. Although our room was ok, clean and great views there had clearly been a leak at some stage as the bathroom ceiling was damp and signs of mould. The outside pool area and general exterior is in need of some tlc, the decking has seen better days. The area is packed like sardines with sun beds all on top of each other, poor service as not enough staff for the amount of guests. The area is also open to non hotel guests which does not help. We had a heavy storm, there were parts of the hotel that flooded, also areas where water was pouring through the ceiling. Overall our stay was fine but seriously lacks true 5star quality in return for the unjustified top price point.

We really enjoyed our stay here . The position is around a 15 minutes walk to the old town and the views are wonderful. The staff were all wonderful from reception to the cleaning staff, the welcome drink and guided tour were much appreciated. The breakfast was varied and well presented and once again the staff were amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of coming to visit beautiful Dubrovnik.

We stayed for 4 nights in early September and had a lovely time. We didn’t pay for a seaview room but was pleasantly surprised by the size of the standard room. The room was lovely, modern and clean. Beds really comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant, food was fresh and delicious. Amazing views from the hotel. We found the snack bar was v expensive - €30 euros for a burger and €20 euros for a cocktail which was mainly ice, but the portions were big. Pizzas were very good but also on the pricey side. The pool deck was very busy but we did always manage to find a sun lounger. The spa was lovely and we made the most of this particularly when we had a whole day of thunderstorms. We went to the old town for dinner every night, we used Uber which cost €8. I would stay here again ⭐️

My wife and myself stayed at the Rixos for a week in early September. We were going for our anniversary so it was a nice touch when we arrived in our room to find a bottle of wine and a nice chocolate treat. The hotel location for me was perfect with only 25 minute walk to the old town and with our sea view room a fantastic vista over the Adriatic. The room itself was large and well appointed with the best aircon I have ever experienced in many years of travel. We went on a half board basis and we're not disappointed with the choice of food. There is a theme every night in the restaurant but if you don't want to partake in this there are multiple other options available The hotel pool area had plenty of sunbeds and parasols when we visited if you wanted to lay by the pool. There is even the option to swim in the sea if you wish via the hotels private access. There is also a spa, well equipped gym and indoor pool which we found very relaxing when the outside weather was too hot. Finally a mention for the people without who the Rixos would not be so special. Karlos and his colleagues who welcomed you to the restaurant each day and took a genuine interest in how your stay was going. The Executive Chef who explained the various food options each evening and nothing was too much trouble. The lady who checked us in and took the time to explain the workings of the hotel and finally the young lady who cleaned our room 1710 each day. On our penultimate day she wished us well for our final day and a safe journey home as we had a early check out. I thought this was a really nice touch. So to conclude if you like good food, great rooms with comfortable beds and relaxing views look no further than the Rixos
