We have just returned from the most wonderful Anniversary stay at the Rixos! From the moment we arrived to a welcome glass of champagne on check in to the moment we left, we were made feel welcome and special . It’s a beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean. We had a beautiful room with sea view and they left us cake and wine for our anniversary. Thank you so much! The staff are all friendly and work hard to look after their guests. The food is excellent and the breakfast buffet the best we have seen in any hotel. The blueberry pastries are to die for!! Couldn’t fault a thing! It was our first time in Croatia and it won’t be our last. Would definitely recommend the Rixos Premium for your stay in Dubrovnik! ❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic service as soon as we arrived to this fabulous hotel. On check in we were advised our sons room had been upgraded to a sea view like ours so we could be next to each other, we hadn’t paid for this originally due to the cost but did request if possible to be near us. What a great start for our 18yr old to have a balcony and beautiful view. Breakfast buffet lots of choice freshly cooked eggs Benedict, pancakes, waffles, omelettes, pastries, fruit, and English/continental. Beds really comfortable, bathroom with deep bath and powerful hot shower. Use of hairdryer in bathroom save bringing mine, was powerful enough. Plenty of sun beds around the pool/sea, with cushions and towels to use. Yes little expensive lunch menu but to be fair portions are large so we tended to share dishes. Close to old town taxi 10 mins, or to Lapad just under. We chose this hotel as we were having a week’s holiday for sightseeing and also chill days in the sun, the spa is free to use and we also paid for a treatment which was amazing. Our son used the gym, and we used the pool tables in the bar area. Had a great stay in beautiful Dubrovnik.

We are coming to the end of our weeks stay at this fabulous hotel. It’s deserves every single one of the five stars. The food is beyond superb, the breakfasts are beautifully cooked, the selection is amazing, and everything is so very well presented. The evening meals are themed, so every night is a slightly different selection, but there is a huge choice, and we enjoyed everything. (The butter chicken was the best we’d ever tasted, along with the seafood stew, and a squid risotto which were equally good) I would also take this opportunity to thank Ivana in the Turquoise restaurant for taking so much trouble to educate us on Croatian wines, your expertise is fantastic, and we loved every single one. Ivana was definitely a wonderful ambassador for the hotel, and we loved our chats. Also the other lady also called Ivana who greeted us on the restaurant reception, always a friendly smile and a chat. It’s a huge hotel, and we wondered if it would feel impersonal, but the Rixos managed to make us feel so welcomed. Also would love to thank Karlo from Guest Relations who oversees everything with a lovely smile and a great sense of professionalism coupled with a warm friendly chat. Many thanks also to the lovely young man Aman from the Libertas lobby bar, where we spent most lunchtimes looking at the amazing view from the terrace, and eating a lovely lunch. Aman was so attentive, friendly and always so polite, making every lunch feel so special. Also the young man in the Sports bar, whose name we have forgotten, but he’s from Mexico, and chatted to us on our first evening. He was again so welcoming, friendly and eager to make sure we enjoyed our holiday. Finally, a big thank you to our cleaners who made our room (1205) so beautiful every day, they had the biggest smiles, and worked really hard. The entire hotel is immaculately clean from top to bottom, so these people obviously deserve our thanks. Many thanks to you all for making us feel so welcome - we loved Dubrovnik, and the staff are a huge part of why we enjoyed our stay so much.

We had a really good stay at this hotel. The hotel building is very impressive. This is enhanced by the friendliness and helpfulness of all members of the hotel's staff that we came into contact with during the course of our stay. Add to that the stunning scenery and history of Dubrovnik and you can see why we had such a good stay.

Far too expensive

Hotel is far too expensive for what you get. Positives: The bed is comfortable; the breakfast is ample and varied. Negatives: the pillows are dreadful; the shower is in the bath; the hotel is soulless. It’s very difficult to get a cup or pot of tea with breakfast. I’ve just returned from five nights at this hotel. €2,500 plus extras for five nights bed and breakfast is far too much for what I got. When I complained and said I would have liked a walk-in shower, I was told all superior rooms have baths as a bath is more luxurious than a shower! Try climbing over a high ‘wall’ and showering in a slippery bath for a feeling of luxury. For some reason if we used a face flannel, it was removed and not replaced. The duvet was much too heavy and the pillows were poor quality, resulting in neck pain. The breakfast buffet selection was very good but if you request a pot of tea, ten minutes later, you will see the waiter you requested it from clearing a table and looking like your pot of tea is the furthest thing from his/her mind. There should be a dispensing station for teas, coffees, and hot water where the wait staff can go directly to fulfil your order. Most of the criticism you see on here is accurate. I booked this hotel through the ACCOR app. I usually appreciate and enjoy their hotels. This is the first time I’ve been disappointed- I like most of them from Ibis to Fairmont etc but I couldn’t recommend the Rixos.
