Not Ready for Prime Time

Too many things are automatic in this hotel: lights go on and off as you walk down dark hallways, air conditioning resists the individual reset and hotel staff are either ignorant of how to fix it or resistant to the customer’s request to do so. Over the course of 10 days in Madagascar, we spent 3 nights in this hotel. The a/c was balky, rooms never completely outfitted with a full complement of towels and bathrobes, food in the restaurant under seasoned and disappointing. There is a lovely indoor spa accessible only by one lift and an unmarked staircase. Finally on our third visit, I found the outdoor pool but it is nearly hidden, with no sign, off the 1st floor deck. The pool cover had been removed but rolled up and placed on the path between the staircase and the pool, forcing customers to climb over it. In short this is a hotel in dire need of competent management.

In the agitation of the big city, this hotel offers a comfortable, safe and rather quiet stay for travellers. Luxurious rooms at international standards, all modern facilities, great restaurant and an amazing rooftop bar overlooking the city. It is also very convenient for easy airport access (~20 minutes to the airport). Staff is very polite, always there to help. Definitely recommended. Thank you Novotel!

Excellent, modern, comfortable hotel furnished of all amenities. Good breakfast. Gym very basic. Location depends. It is a function of what one needs to do.

Some say the food here is noit good but we find it very good , both breakfast and dinner we had for the night we stayed. Service was fast and responsive. Absolutely the best hotel in town. Just a little thing: please try to find a right pefume for the rooms. The smell is not good.
