Wasn’t expecting the world as this was a more budget option. However one thing I found upsetting was how rude the staff were, given other reviews I hadn’t anticipated staff to make fun of guest to their faces in French, presuming they would not understand. I overheard it happening about other guests and later myself, if you hate foreigners, especially younger foreigners who may sometimes be naive, maybe don’t work at a hostel. Stayed in a decent number of hostels in my time, never seen this before. Otherwise agree with other comments, general lack of cleanliness but not that bad for a budget hostel, cabin rooms could do with some soundproofing as there is non at all and during flu season not ideal. Managed to pick up an eye infection, whether this from the hostel or elsewhere can’t be certain but I could make a good guess.

Bathrooms were not clean enough and very very small. Kitchen was not well equipped to even make basic food . No bowls kept to heat up in microwave either . At the cost, amenities provided needs to improve . No events even on weekends . Not a good location in Paris for sightseeing

Bed Bug Infestation!

This building is infested with bed bugs. The owners of the business know there is a bed bug infestation but they have tried to hide it from their customers. I had to find out about them for myself when I awoke to bugs crawling all over me. Completely disgusting. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Terrible hotel, dirty and invested with bedbugs.... do not stay there ever !!!!!

Terrible bedbugs all round. Do not stay at this hostel. Stayed the week of October 20th for 5+ days at the Jo&Joe Gentilly, Paris, with my group of school friend for a convention. Frankly, the ratings on booking.com and other are highly exaggerated. The hostel is terrible in terms of cleanliness. Got bedbugs attacking you at nights. When raised to the front desk they send a single individual with a dry towel to wipe the cubical a little. Even being offered to move to another cubical things did not improve. Washing the clothes at the hostel did not help either. First and last time I stayed there, never again. Stay far away from it......

Good value for your money, go for it!

The place was clean and well organized, also very close to a train station which is integrated with a subway. About 12 min from Gare de Montparnasse and less than one hour by a frequent direct train to a Charles de Gaulle Airport. Lockers (inside your room) for your laggage are big, you just need a small lock for it. The rooms are designed for a sleep and sleep only. If you get a bottom part of the bed you can lower curtains all around you to feel more comfortable. People can't turn on a big light at night which is smart. They have a tiny kitchen on a top floor, with washing and drying mashine. Might be too small when hotel is full. In my stay there wasn't too many people overall so I had a good sleep. Rooms have toilets and shower. Good rooms if you need just to go to sleep early and get up early. Good value for your money.
