The Ibis hotel was a good fine. Reasonable rates and clean comfortable room. Good location too - we walked from the ferry port and close to restaurants and shopping. The complimentary breakfast is great! Only complaint was the room was hot and the a/c did not work well.

Excellent hotel on all counts. We had a wonderful, big, comfortable room on the 5th floor, with 2 walls of windows facing the harbour and the fort as well as a view of the mountains beyond the city. (The view would likely not be as good from the lower floors.) Large wrap-around terrace with a chaise and a table with two chairs. Great bed, nice big bathroom, excellent service from the front desk and the cleaning staff. Good buffet breakfast with lots of choice. Very well located, so you can easily walk to the best shopping and dining in the city. Strong recommend!

We stayed here to catch early ferry. Walked up stairs and slopes to get there from bus station. We were upgraded to a larger family room which was a lovely surprise. Shower was great as was king size bed. The reception staff were friendly. Would have been 5 stars but the food wasn't great.

The hotel was in a good location and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Some of the staff were pleasant and helpful and others less so. The decor was quite dark and the corridors were gloomy. The hotel would benefit from regular maintenance checks. I asked to change rooms after two nights as the red security/emergency light continually flashed through the day and night so I couldn’t sleep. I was told they couldn’t do anything about it. In addition the toilet seat was broken but on a positive note the maintenance person came very quickly (3 times) as he didn’t mend it but just put it back on the pin which broke again when the toilet was used. Staff were helpful in finding me another room. In both my rooms some lights needed new bulbs. The breakfast wasn’t brilliant - I’m veggie and try not to eat too many carbs so could only really eat the eggs. Fruit was fresh and plentiful. The layout seemed a bit chaotic and I kept having to go back to get items I’d missed/forgotten. It was fine for a few nights
