Three of us stayed for two nights at the Swissotel Nankai Osaka. We used one of my wife's Accor Platinum Suite Upgrades. Overall - an excellent hotel right in the Namba action - everything was 5 star as expected except for one service boo boo Positives - - Right in the Namba action - Lovely rooms and view - Really engaged staff - for example spotting that my wife's jumper could not be dry cleaned as we asked, and getting it laundered instead - Lots of restaurant options Negatives - - We ordered drinks and a pudding at the 36th floor bar one evening. After an hour and three attempts to get the pudding it took an escalation to a floor manager to finally get action

- Great location, close to main shopping streets and on top of Takashimaya department store - Great room size - Breakfast is limited. It could have provided more choices with better quality - Lounge is small - Concierge team are great! - Service overall is good - The hotel is connected to a majot transport hub so it is very convenient to travel in Osaka and around. Recommend for staying in Osaka

I spent 4 nights at this hotel. The hotel is fine. While on the one hand the location is in the center of it all and very convenience to take the Rapid A to the airport, I thought the hotel was large and impersonal and I would have preferred something in a less busy neighbourhood. The concierge was not great. A hotel that considers itself a luxury player should have a much stronger concierge staff, not a bunch a teenagers simply manning a desk. They really need to improve that service as the concierge desk could answer basic questions, but they are more like an info desk and not really a concierge service.

The hotel location is superb as it is located right at the train station. It is fast to travel by express train from airport which took about 40 mins. Most of the shopping areas & site seeing places are nearby the hotel & it is so convenient to travel by train since it is right at the door step. The service is good & the hotel is clean. The room is quite spacious & I had a good city view. Except the pillows are too soft. Hope they can provide pillows which are a bit more firm. Housekeeping is good & keep up the good work. There is a chair & mirror provided at the water basin & it is ideal to for ladies to do their makeup. Love the bathroom design. They have an indoor swimming pool & spa but we did not have time to use the facilities as we were out every day. The breakfast is normal & not much variety though. Anyway, I had a good stay & definitely will recommend this hotel to my friends. I will come back to stay in this hotel again when I visit Osaka.

Very convenient location, fortunately we booked Swissotel this time in Osaka, we were able to take underground to Umeda without having to bring umbrella in under heavy rain and we spent our whole afternoon walking in the underground malls.
