This is a great hotel choice for those who want to experience Osakas busy shopping area. The hotel itself is above the namba station and takashimaya with special access to both establishments. Across the plaza, one can roam IOI department store, a theater and street shopping district. It is also a short walk from dotonburi and don quiote for souvenirs. There are numerous restaurants nearby and the one in the hotel itself serves superb meals. Their lounge for Accor members also offered delectable selections and impeccable service. Rooms and comfort rooms are spacious and well equipped. Our family of 4, never felt crammed in the space. Beds are comfortable and our room had a great view of the shopping district below. Over all, this is a great option for families.

We stayed in this hotel on the 2nd half of our stay in Osaka to visit the Expo (first half in a hotel near Dojima river). The location was excellent. One minute walk to the Namba Station and 6-minute walk across Namba Parks to a Thai brand hotel where our colleagues stayed. At the entrance to the main lobby, there's a wall with welcome greetings in different languages. The concierge was very helpful. The manager at the 36th floor restaurant was very hospitable. Food selection was excellent. At the entryway of the restaurant, there's the hydroponics vertical garden, which means, the salad at restaurant is fresh from the garden. Sustainability...

Convenient location and spacious rooms

Our family of 6, 2 adults and 4 children (8, 10, 12 and 14). We booked two rooms and stayed here for 7 nights for our recent holiday. One of the hotel’s biggest strengths is its prime location directly above Nankai Namba Station, making airport transfers and trips to Nara, Kyoto, etc incredibly easy. Major attractions like Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi and DenDen Town are all within easy walking distance and we were spoiled for dining options throughout the stay. Rooms spacious by Japanese standards, well laid out and comfortable, with large windows offering great city views. The space makes it especially suitable for families or travellers with multiple luggage. We had dinner at the hotel’s Japanese restaurant, which was a lovely experience. The food was well prepared and the atmosphere was calm and elegant — a nice contrast to the bustling streets outside!

Poor and disgusted

Location is ideal! However, the hotel sucks! Housekeeping is poor ++ obviously lazy though being a gentle reminder. We stayed for 5 nights and not expecting this. Bellboy and folks at concierge simply ain’t helpful when lugging cargo bags when the other parent was checking out. Even a little help goes a long way. Room is old and poorly maintained. Old musky smell of damp wood and poor pixelated TV. Generally, your service staff are still on the high horse while your guests are playing catch up.

Comfortable, classy, clean and convenient! .......and the view from the room and restaurant...! Spectacular !!

Upon arriving in Osaka, we checked into the ‘ Swissotel, Nankai ‘, directly atop Namba train station. We picked this hotel based on its iconic Swiss brand and its superbly convenient location. This was the fifth hotel we have tried so far on our trip and by far the most convenient, comfortable and one that boasts the best and most impressive views! The sunset over Osaka from our room’s vantage point was simply spectacular and breathtaking! As with most higher end hotels in the Orient, room size is extremely generous and spacious. Amenities are well appointed, bathroom and shower with ample room to move around. Beds are very comfortable. The only minor downside about the room that could be improved was the TV lacking in Western news, sports and business related channels! A gorgeous, buffet breakfast featuring both Western and Japanese options was included. Enjoying the quality food at a window table with gorgeous vistas was a great start to a morning!! Nearby, shopping and food related attractions are worth a few more bonus rating points! Ha!
