We always try to stay at Fairmont because it is a stellar hotel in every way. The staff are all so friendly, the rooms are meticulously clean, and the ambience is wonderful. Our dog got sick in the room this time and the staff could not have been more responsive and professional in how they handled it. This hotel is a gem!! Look no further!

I would stay here again, however, the service is inconsistent. I give the hotel high marks for the room - a deluxe king on the 4th floor. High quality bedding and towels and amenities. Nice, hot water. My bathroom's lights were too low (my traveling companions next door had more lights). Staff is professional and very nice. However, my room didn't get cleaned on one day. The breakfast service is ridiculous. Long lines for coffee to go. Tables not cleared while people wait. Buffet ($38pp) was empty at 9a. A lot of confusion among the staff. It appears they are seriously understaffed. I think it would be embarrassing to plan a business breakfast here. There are plenty of places to eat near the hotel. One final thing if the staff is reading this: The hotel lobby is FREEZING.

The rooms were spacious, quiet, clean. Had a lovely evening here. Breakfast is definitely a miss. Buffet was dreadful, so we ordered from the menu and it was not good. The staff were great though. Location is definitely a stretch at Georgetown. I don't mind walking, so it was fine, but if you are looking to be in the heart of Georgetown, this isn't it. I liked the location though - quiet and clean. Booking was a nightmare. I called to see if they could match a 3rd party price but they could not but they said they would include breakfast. Then we got disconnected. I called back but next two people 'could not find that rate'. Sigh.

Hubby and I are longtime Fairmont guests and truly enjoyed our first stay at Fairmont DC. Its ideal location tucked into an uptown neighbourhood made for easy walking to Georgetown or the many museums and memorials, and we appreciated returning to a quiet haven away from tourist crowds. There are numerous pharmacies, cafés, and boutiques just a block away in any direction. Fairmont DC staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful. They accommodated our request for early check-in and put us in a spacious and comfortable room on the top floor, with a beautiful view of Georgetown U in the distance. Fairmont's comfortable beds and premium Le Labo toiletries never disappoint. There was no mention of how to obtain the additional perks (i.e. welcome drinks) that come with our current Silver rewards level and the ALL app was a bust when I searched for more information. This wasn't a huge deal to us so we didn't bother asking for further help. Elevators were quick our entire stay, even when one was out of service for maintenance. The courtyard was beautiful and we look forward to spending time there on a future, longer stay. Digital express checkout was a breeze and I received my detailed and accurate folio within minutes while en route to the airport. Overall Fairmont DC was positively wonderful, and exceeded our expectations. It will without hesitation be our home base for future visits to the US capital.

Hotel has a good location in affluent and quiet Georgetown area in Washington. Hotel lobby and common areas very upscale. Hotel has very good concierge service and front desk is very efficient. Rooms are big and good renovation level. Bathrooms are not Fairmont level and needs to be mordernised. Breakfast buffet is available in this hotel apart from Alacarte. Food quality is good.
