This is not a 5 star hotel pure and simple. We had the second best room in all of the resort (only because we were told our room was going to hear loud music until almost 11 pm) due to the Christmas event. I thanked them for sharing but the room they suggested was much more costly. I asked for some relief and they would not discount it but it cost me a $1000 more a night and I accepted it.. I started listening to every person who was checking in and it seems there was a bait and switch system going on with a similar story as they told me to each person checking in as well. We had to call Concierge to have our room cleaned. (Second best room level below Presidential Suite and that’s what we have to do?) We had passive service from our concierge and asked for a one hour later check out and they said NO. There was a $130 vehicle charge which did not come with the room at that level. It was only until we complained where this was adjusted. No restocking of the amenities in the room. It seems the management does not care about loyalty. I have stayed at 5 stars and other quality Fairmonts and this is not one of them One of the front desk supervisors asked me how he could remedy our stay. I told him I am not looking to get a free stay but it was up to them. I never heard back. There are many other high quality resorts in Scottsdale. But it does seem they love the Christmas season because the massive amounts of people who attend the holiday event and it looks nice. And this is the first time I have ever written such a complaint that I remember.

We were sent a discount for their Christmas celebration after some family went last week. I had trouble using it so I reached out. Spoke with Reese who said she would look into it and reach back out. Well she never reached back out. So I followed up and heard from another rep who told me the discount code is no longer valid. Well that sucks because now its unaffordable for me to bring the 9 members of my family. Would be nice if people follow through with what they say they will.

DO NOT go to Bourbon Steak house.

Christmas at the Princess was a magical experience a few years ago, this year was not. We ate at Bourbon Steak house and it was absolutely terrible. The service was very slow but only to our table, the table next to us had multiple servers and were always taken care of. The food was abysmal, DO NOT go for the Lobster PotPie, not worth the $135. The wagyu steak also came out cold. The restaurants fix to that was giving us a shot of tomato soup? The server we had was disrespectful and inadequate. Now back to the actual hotel, the room stayed a cool 75 degrees so if you run hot then you will sweating during the night. Overall the princess is a good stay but please do not go to Bourbon Steak.

Major disappointment! Staff is rude, wait times are equivalent to Disney rides, lights were not impressive and everything is ridiculously priced. Save your money, not worth it.

Christmas at the princess is truly magical. The activity’s and Christmas decor all over the resort are top tier. Service and accommodations at the hotel are amazing per usual. This is an experience that my family will remember and cherish forever. The amount of work they put into the Christmas theme is truly unbelievable. I don’t think even Disney puts this much effort into the Christmas theme. We have made it tradition to spend thanksgiving week at the princess and it just seems to get better every year. The thanksgiving day brunch was truly spectacular as well. The service is always where this resort shines. Keith at bell services, Filasita at fire and ice, and Justin in VIP services all did a phenomenal job with accommodating us and making us feel like family. We are already planning our next year’s trip to Christmas at the princess.
