The Chateau is everything you've read, historic, gorgeous and perched so beautifully over the St Lawrence. It's all true, but what made it special for us was staying on the gold level floor. The included breakfast 7-11, the dinner Hors d Oeuvre's (5-7) were amazing. So much food, and it was all delicious. Then at eight, canapés, some of the most delicious I have ever tasted. The main parts of the hotel were often crowed. When there was a wait at Bar 1608 in the lobby, we simply headed up to the 14th for a drink without all the noise. The staff on the gold level was what made this trip special, especially Eric. I don't remember other names, but everyone we encountered was top notch. I've read a few people who didn't think gold level was worth it. For us, it's what made an extremely popular hotel feel like a sanctuary and totally worth it. I don't think we would have enjoyed our stay as much had we not had this escape. We don't splurge as a rule, but this was special and I highly recommend it!

This was our third time at the Chateau Frontenac, and it might have been our best. This year, we timed it to be able to see the Christmas market, which was a lot of fun. We also did a couple of tours, a gin tasting and the chocolate demonstation- all complimentary as part of our stay. We ate at Sam's and did the Sunday brunch. Service was beyond incredible! We're already talking about coming back next year for our fourth visit! Highly recommended!

This place really is a castle. Our room was amazing. We upgraded to a upper room. We had access to a private bar that did happy hour and breakfast. We did a military walking tour arranged by the resort. Very good. The room was clean. The service was great. We ate off site but the restaurants and bar are wonderful. No reason to leave.

Originally built as a hotel, it now offers a remarkable experience—worth trying at least once. We reserved our Fairmont Gold Jr Suite more than a year in advance for three nights prior to a cruise. Our turret/office provided magnificent views of the river, the Dufferin Terrace boardwalk and the Queen Mary 2 docked below. We were on the 16th floor. The small living room contained furnishings reminiscent of a 1970’s bachelors’ pad with a wall mounted smart TV. Room service was presented on bone china and delivered on carts with floor-length linen tablecloths. The adequately sized bedroom had a king-size bed and a hilariously small bathroom. The room offered a rain shower-hand held combo and a magnifying mirror that would send most of us to the spa for fillers. More importantly, the luxurious scent of Rose 31 products made it a relaxing retreat where atmosphere mattered more than size. We highly recommend the Fairmont Gold Floor VIP option. The Gold Floor Concierge Desk streamlined check-in/ check-out, allowing us to bypass the main lobby, N.B. The iconic first floor and lobby are open to the public. There were many people wandering about, some waiting in lines, others searching for shops, restaurants, or a photo op. It was 4pm on a Wednesday; it was Atlanta airport in a snowstorm The Gold Floor lounge offers a heated breakfast buffet, afternoon appetizers with an honors bar, and nightly desserts. It's perfect for reading, conversation, and enjoying skyline and river view sunsets. The Gold Floor staff was always professional. Many of this hospitality crew were multilingual; all were courteous. A special thanks to Maria, Eva, Emma, Laurie, Rose, and Beatrice. The entire team seemed genuinely proud of their work. Onsite Dining We had lunch at a sunroom window table in Bistro Le Sam overlooking the St Lawrence, our entrees were all well prepared, the service friendly, and efficient On another afternoon at 2:30pm, we enjoyed Afternoon Tea at Place Dufferin, overlooking the busy boardwalk with street performers, dog walkers, couples sharing ice cream cones and guides in costume. The Tea Tower was impressive in both size and variety. Overall: We could have happily stayed there longer. It was a dream come true.

The room was spacious, overlooking the courtyard and castle turrets. The bathroom was all we needed and the cosmetics smelt so good. The lobby is cozy and easy to relax in. The breakfast is lovely and good value. The swimming pool was cold but this was the only fault. Service was very food. The discovery set menu at the Champlain Restaurant was good too and they made our toddler feel welcome, despite the posh settings.
