We went to Langkawi for business and pleasure for a 7 night stay. As always the staff are so helpful, always smiling and a pleasure to talk to. Danny and his team are so very accommodating in every way. Our room was always cleaned and serviced perfectly. The event staff went out of their way to ensure everything was set up for our function. Being so central in Pantai Cenang made it easy to walk or just a short drive to anywhere. Catching up with friends was always one of our most pleasant times. Sadly we have to go back to work but we can't wait to return to the island and Mercure's warmth and friendly hospitality. A special mention to Eris. So enjoyable to chat with him and his smile made our day. Thank you Mercure.

A beautiful place with so much to explore nearby — from tourist attractions and local restaurants to food trucks, duty-free shops, and a wide selection of spas. We had our meals at the hotel's own restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. The breakfast buffet offered a generous variety to suit every preference. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, while the pool area was a highlight — especially in the evening with the refreshing, breezy atmosphere. This is our third time staying here, and without a doubt, we’ll be coming back again.

Mercure is one of the best hotels in Langkawi. The breakfast is one of the best you will get in Langkawi. It's 2-3 mins walk to the beach and there are a lot of resturants nearby. Shifa on the front desk was super helpful, she helped me in checking me in early as I was travelling with my 4 month daughter.

Mercure is a well-located hotel in Langkawi. The airport is a short drive away and Pantai Cenang beach is right next door. There are also eateries, a night market and shopping opportunities nearby. This is an ideal location for Langkawi destinations. The hotel is quite new and therefore in good condition. The hotel's lobby area is wide and spacious. In addition to the reception, there is a bar and a pool area. There is a restaurant, gym and other services on the floors. Our hotel room was on the upper floors and therefore the view of the sea was quite good. The room was spacious and clean. Air conditioning and a refrigerator provided comfort. The bed was quite firm but good. The pillows were of different hardness and the blanket worked. The room lighting could be adjusted to suit every situation and the windows could be covered with blackout nets. There was a plug on the bedside table and a phone charging facility. (Remember to bring an adapter). The bathroom was clean and spacious enough. At first, there was a problem with the sink tap in our room when the water only came out in a small trickle. I'm surprised it hadn't been fixed beforehand, as it had certainly been noticed, but the repair was done quite quickly and the matter was resolved. The towels in the room were changed as needed, so everything was fine. As in almost all hotel rooms, the hangers were a bit flimsy and there were far too few hooks for clothes and towels. The hotel's breakfast was comprehensive. An awful lot of different options and very little to eat for a Westerner. Of course, there was a chef on site and you could order different variations of eggs, there were waffles and everything basic. At the same time, there wasn't cheese on bread every day and the health juice was generally out of stock. However, the breakfast was quite ok and therefore met your needs. The hotel also has a gym. A couple of treadmills and a few machines for strengthening muscles in addition to dumbbells are available. Nothing special, but sufficient. The space had good air conditioning. The hotel's pool area was great. There were always enough towels available and you could take them yourself and change them as needed. The sun loungers had good and intact cushions and were pleasant to lie on. The sun turned to shine on the pool right from the morning and so I would have liked some parasols in the area. It was really hot in many places and there were very limited places to shade. There was a bar next to the pool where you could get refreshments. The bar had a happy hour every day and the prices were especially attractive at that time. For some reason, there was always quite a bit of air flow in the pool area. It was a good thing and made the stay pleasant. Overall, the hotel's location, pricing and services were certainly the most competitive in the area. Four stars is the right rating due to the shortcomings, but I would definitely go here again.
