We stayed here for three nights and it was a good choice. We have stayed at many 5 star hotels in Singapore and this rates well with the others. The welcome was delightful, the King Club Room well appointed with a great bed, good TV and a wonderful bathroom. The pool was exceptional and I used the Virgin Gym three times! That was superb! Breakfast was good but I think if I were to be critical, its badly set out in a range of stations across the restaurant and its just a bit mish mash. Still the food was great. We chose to eat here rather than in the Club Lounge as there is more selection. We visited the Club Lounge only twice. Its good but JW Marriott and the Pullman Hill St do it better. Regardless, the service here would be hard to beat. I recommend :)

Had a wonderful experience with the best service standards. It was a birthday celebration and Louise and Daeun was very helpful at the lobby reception. The hotel is wonderful, the staff standards more than world class. At the Lobby, Chris made the best cocktails and made our celebrations extra special. Will always choose sofitel city center

First time staying at this hotel for a 3D2N stay after reading many positive reviews online, and it truly did not disappoint. Perhaps due to the festive season, the hotel was fully booked and bustling with guests. Despite this, the service delivered was consistently top-notch. We were warmly welcomed and well attended to by Mr Airi upon arrival. As our room was not ready yet, we were invited to relax at the club lounge while waiting, which was a thoughtful gesture. To our pleasant surprise, simple Danish pastries were available all day at the club lounge, unlike some hotels that only offer cookies or biscuits. The club lounge team — Zoey, Julius, Sofie, and Shirley — were absolute gems. They were consistently attentive, accommodating, and genuinely cared for the guests’ experience. After a short wait, our room was ready at 2.30pm. Located on the 18th floor, it offered a lovely view of the surrounding heritage shophouses. The room was clean, decently sized, and elegantly designed. The TV had a good selection of cable channels, though it lacked Chromecast functionality. One minor downside was the bedroom slippers, which felt rather thin and flimsy — not quite what one would expect from a 5-star hotel. Afternoon tea, served between 3pm and 5pm, was slightly underwhelming. It followed an à la carte format with three items — typically two savoury options and one dessert. That said, refills were available upon request, which was a plus. The evening cocktail session (5.30pm to 7.30pm) was an improvement, though the variety remained limited. There were around four hot items accompanied by carbs such as rice or noodles, but the quality stood out. Food was self-served, while cocktails and champagne were ordered through the staff, and wines were self-service. Due to the club lounge’s limited seating capacity, guests arriving later were directed to the public lounge area at 1864 Bar, which was quite a distance away. While the team did their best, the high volume of orders understandably led to longer wait times or occasional missed orders. It might be worthwhile for the hotel to consider expanding or relocating the club lounge to a more suitable space. Additionally, as the lounge is located beside the ballrooms, it lacks a sense of privacy and exclusivity, especially during wedding events. Breakfast at the club lounge is served between 8am and 11am, while the main restaurant operates from 6.30am to 10.30am. On both mornings, we opted for the restaurant due to its wider variety, including a DIY noodle station. Overall, we were impressed by the consistently high service standards and would definitely return. A special shoutout to the front desk team, especially Mr Airi and Ms May, for their warm hospitality and professionalism, as well as the club lounge crew — Zoey, Julius, Langfrey, Sofie, and Shirley — for making our stay a memorable one.

Nice room. And thats the most positive comment. Definitely not like a 5-star hotel. We travel a lot! Never have we had as simple and deficient breakfast. Chose the ‘christmas-dinner’ it was very poor quality, empty dishes and little selection. Would rather eat at some streetfood. Not coming back.
