The hotel is a little run down but the room is clean, HOWEVER when I arrived the Chinese man on reception barked at me to come forward, barked at me for my name ..took my £128 without a smile or a thank you..was by far one of the worst check in I have ever experienced. If he reads this I apologise for staying at the hotel and obviously annoying you.

Very central location for a visit to Manchester city center, perfect for Christmas markets and shopping and dining. Check in staff very helpful, vending machines in reception for snacks and drinks but also a restaurant. Room size is small, but fine for a couple of nights.

Stayed for 1 night with my other half as we went to watch Peter Kay at the AO Arena. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to most areas, it was about a 20 min walk to the Arena and about a 10 min walk from the train station. I went early to see if I could check in, but this wasn’t possible so I did a bag drop which was handy. At 3pm I went back and although there was a queue, the staff got everybody checked in super quickly. 402 was the room we were allocated, which was at the front of the hotel. Although being at the front of the hotel, personally felt like the noise from the main road was minimal. The noise from the hallway was also next to nothing, it was lovely. The room itself, could do with a slight upgrade like new carpets, questionable staining but overall it was a lovely little room. We really liked the pod style bathroom, the shower was super roomy even for my 6ft 4 boyfriend. The water pressure was great and hot which is always a bonus in a big-ish hotel. We used the bar for drinks only, it’s card only but they have a decent selection of drinks on offer, as well as food which we didn’t try. Parking is directly behind the hotel & you can access the car park from the hotel super easy, so it made for a quick turnaround the next morning to get to the car and home. Overall, I would recommend this hotel & would definitely book again.

Lack of care, blood stains!

The reception area and bar/restaurant are modern and clean but that's where it ends. The corridors and rooms are disgusting, there is mould/damp on the ceilings, the rooms have been painted and set up in an awful fashion, I hated the decor and found it to be a very cheap and tacky plaster over old rooms. My room had blood stained sheets, blood on walls and mirror, stains all around the air conditioning unit and was generally in a bad state. I realised the blood stains were there on the second night and was horrified I hadn't noticed them before. I also reported a loud buzzing noise by the door to my room by the light switch and was offered some ear plugs. The usb sockets don't work and when asked at reception they don't work in any room! The bed itself was reasonably comfortable and once I got off to sleep I slept ok but the insulation is poor enough you can hear people coughing above and next to you! Location is great but also quite noisy for sleep quality. I would not return here again.
