Trendy & Friendly hotel situated in a great position almost in china town. Great pubs and restaurants located within a short distance. The hotel itself does pizza though we never tried them. Great bar. Rooms are plenty big enough with large beds, sadly hard pillows 😩 huge TV, decent sized bathroom. Plenty of tea & coffee etc, unusual but a good plus for us! We booked breakfast which is located at the Novotel across the courtyard through the back doors a minutes walk. The choice of food options was very good indeed. Lots of cereals, different milks, fruit juices, pastries, breads also cakes. There was fresh fruits and (yoghurt ) which was especially delicious 😋 also dried fruits and nuts, cooked meats and cheeses. Plus a hot breakfast (Full English) with vegetarian options. Staff were also very friendly. We would definitely return to this hotel. We normally stay at the MERCURE but it’s looking rather tired.

The hotel was very clean and the reception area was stylish. The room itself is exactly what I would expect from a budget Ibis; small, but with a comfy bed and an excellent shower. The only issue for us was the lack of storage. There are no drawers, and only a small shelf beside the bed big enough to keep your cup and phone on. This might be fine for a couple or single person, but for two friends sharing a twin, we found it quickly became a mess. Depends on how tidy you like to be. Also, we were in a room on the first floor overlooking the back of the hotel, and there seemed to be noise from piece of equipment running up until about midnight. Didn't particularly bother me, but my friend found it disturbing. Otherwise, we really enjoyed it, and all the staff were great.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The ambiance is great, good selection of drinks at the bar and the bedrooms are quiet and cozy. The staff are absolutely wonderful. Especially the lovely lady who was working the weekend (18-20 may)!! Location is good, rooms are small, but cozy and quiet. Bar selection is good, food is very basic and unimpressive, but fantastic to be able to get served a snack any time of the night or day.

Whenever I visit Manchester, I try to stay here or the Novotel next door. It is consistently good. I like the underground car park. I was ob business with a group of colleagues and enjoyed pizza and beers in the bar later in the evening. Travellers should note that the entire business seems to be run on IPhones. It helps if you have your booking confirmation displayed on your device when you check in.

Had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay at the ibis 96 portland street manchester, location is very central and well located, the hotel team,nicole and staff are what made this place so impressed and made you feel good .Need to specially mention that they got some very friendly, helpful and professional staff here, Assed, Jennifer and Nicole were standing out brilliantly, they were so so friendly, kind, hospitable and went to the extra miles for us! Can't wait to come back again. This has to be one of the best ibis hotel in uk and I highly recommend to all.
