The rooms are clean and basic. Unfortunately my sons bed had quite a large spider run across it while he was lying on it so not the greatest start. The issue was dealt with and no further spider sightings. Beds are comfortable, basic amenities in the room. Reasonable for the price. Location directly across from Sovereign Hill.

I stayed at the hotel with my family and was disappointed with the overall standard. The Superior Room was acceptable but did not meet the expectation implied by the name. It felt like a standard room that was newly renovated rather than a premium offering. The two-bedroom apartment was old, dated, and clearly in need of refurbishment. While front desk staff were polite, they demonstrated limited knowledge of the local area and were unable to provide even basic recommendations outside the hotel. Guest were giving each other ideas of what to do or where to dine. The breakfast offering was unacceptable for the price. At $30 per person, it represents very poor value. The food was unappealing, poorly presented, and in some cases not fresh. The fruit appeared to be at least a day old. Breakfast staff lacked professionalism and energy, and the service felt disengaged. In addition, the chef did not understand the difference between well-done eggs and runny eggs, which is a basic expectation at this price point. I stayed at the hotel solely because of my Accor membership. Based on this experience, I will not return. Management needs to materially lift standards across accommodation, food quality, and service if the hotel intends to justify its pricing and brand positioning.

Stayed 1 night, room was upgraded, although done up contemporary style felt closed in and bland, light globe not working, toilet seat broken, flashing green light on and off throughout night from modem, bed was comfy and had what we needed, dinner in restaurant was nice especially Korean wings, staff were friendly in bar although didn’t feel welcomed in reception on arrival, prob wont stay again in this room.

We booked 2BR apartment for 4 nights for a weekend wedding. The accommodation is very much in need of an upgrade. All aspects are 30 years out of date, dark and gloomy, worn, badly patched. We slept and showered there but then escaped to more pleasant surroundings at all other times. Expensive for what it is.

This was a pleasant place for a conference. I liked the dispersed layout, and the attention they have given to attractive grounds. The conference catering was good in relation to refreshments, but the food at dinner was poor in my view. I got steak. and it was inedible. This was the same for at least one other on my table. The staff were friendly but I felt sorry for them. There really weren't enough of them, and it was impossible for them too attend promptly to customer's needs. The conference ran very smooth;y, which was in part due to the hotel team. My "Superior" room was pleasant. I didn't like one wall being all mirror. It had a reverse cycle A/C unit, which was great. I could control the temperature and noise - so often a problem in hotels. It was quiet and the bed was comfy.
