Go somewhere else . The rooms are warm & musty, you can’t control the temperature, it set to 75 degrees so air control is false advertisement. Can’t open the windows, no screens, you will get raided by mosquitoes. Room is super basic, horrible pillows. No one told us checkout time, & we checked out 2 hours late. We were embarrassed, I have traveled all over the world & have always verbally been told the checkout, let alone had it written down in the room. ALEXSANDRA (brown hair, braces) was beyond rude, told us “they didn’t know what to do with us”, & charged us a fine. This was an isolated incident, as the rest of the staff was kind & warm. Only upside is 24 hr restaurant & water filters on every floor. Otherwise, I would’ve been more comfortable at a hostel, & probably would have been treated with more respect as well. That last encounter sealed the deal for us. Overall: 4/10

This Ibis is within a short walk from the Train Station and also within easy walking distance ( I am disabled and walked with a cane) from all the major sites. Excellent breakfast buffet, water bottle refilling stations near the elevator. Staff were very friendly and helpful with excellent English. I would stay there again.

This hotel is ideally located, being just a 7-minute walk from the 210 airport bus stop at the Gdansk Glowny train station and just a short walk to all the attractions of the Old Town, as well as to the Second World War Museum and the famous Shipyard. The Madison Shopping Centre and some very nice restaurants are in the adjoining street/s. The room was spacious, airy and spotless. The staff were friendly and very helpful with any requests for information. Enjoyed a lovely day trip to Sopot, travelling the short distance there by train from the nearby above-mentioned train station

After researching different hotels in Gdansk, I whittled it down to a choice between here and the Mercure. I settled on here because although I would've liked to have a high up room in the Mercure, the Ibis was cheaper. I don't regret the decision. The hotel is in an excellent location - close to the tourist sites, train station, food hall, cafes, restaurants and a small shopping centre. The area felt very safe. Staff were friendly and helpful. I wasn't keen on the breakfast, but that's because I'm quite picky but my boyfriend enjoyed it so not losing any points there. The coffee machine coffees weren't great but I believe you could pay extra for a barista made one (we didn't bother). The only problem with the breakfast is that it could get very busy and people were often having to share tables or sit in seats in the foyer. They did a set lunch menu which we had one day and it was very good value. They also had a bar which we went to a few times which was nice. Our room was very spacious, clean and, despite being right at the lifts, very quiet. There are water fountains available and empty jugs in your room so you can help yourself to free water - great idea! I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're staying in Gdansk and would stay again.

Ibis Gdansk is a clean beautiful hotel, but they have lost sight of caring for the customer in trying to save money under the guise of going green. My bath didn’t have and wash cloths, hand towels, bar soap, etc. it had two bath towels and a pumper bottle that used the same soap for hair, showering, and hands. The room was warm, and we asked for two days for them to turn the temperature down, to which they responded yes. The third day they just told us it was too early in the year for AC, just open the window. They don’t care what the customer wants.
