Nice and comfortable during my two weeks stay. Manager and the staffs are wonderful and really helpful. The room and bed are spacious. Location is quiet . Transport is great. 5 minutes to shops and 12 minutes to the nearby railway station. Will definitely come again.

Possibly a poor experience due to the refurbishment work in progress, but aside from a good bed not much to say. Car park full, and it isn't an area I'd want to park my car on the street. Restaurant food dull, bar area uninviting. Breakfast in a conference room, and really poor quality. Surely the one thing you should be able to rely on in France is a good quality croissant and good coffee?

The best first... this hotel has very nice staff. They helped us a couple of times and were really good. The rest is below average. The hotel is not in good shape. Things start to get a bit old. The worst was that our son almost got hit by a door of the wardrobe... it almost fell on him!? Will look for another place next time...

Ryder Cup - the manager doesn’t listen

I arrived here on 20th September and I’m here until the 2nd of October as I’m working at the Ryder Cup. On day 1, 6 days ago, I complained at the reception desk that the only English language Channel available, bbc news, was not working. I was told it would be fixed. On Friday, i asked again. Then on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I keep getting told someone is coming to fix it. I thought putting this negative feedback which I hate doing, might encourage the manager to do something or alert his boss. Saturday and Sunday night, the restaurant was closed..... just bizarre. The staff are really nice, the hotel is clean and the breakfast is decent. But because the management choose to ignore your requests - which you have made 6 times - I’d stay clear. Unfortunately I’m here for another 6 nights 🤦🏻‍♀️

Please excuse us for this failure on the BBC News channel that occurred unexpectedly as the competition Began. The company responsible for the repair took all this time to rsolve the problem despite our raises and it was only late that the chain was Reinstated. We spent a good weekend at theMercure Maurepas Saint-Quentin with Newmarket travel. By looking on the hotel website we were aware the the restaurant was not available. Our Newmarket rep had arranged for a meal to be provided by staff who would work later than they usually did on a Friday. Unfortunately due to travel delays on M25 and security checks at Dover this had to be cancelled because we arrived quite late. The hotel was lovely, staff very helpful, breakfast superb. On our first evening we had a toilet cistern the kept running, and although there was no maintenance people available we were move to a privilege room and given a sincere apology.. We could not have asked for more. Well done Newmarket and Mercure.
