On arriving we were greeted by a lovely young man Tyrone who had us checked in and so helpful with any enquires we had. When arriving to our room we were greeted by a lovely aroma of oils and a sparkling clean room. Our meal of Barramundi that evening for dinner was delicious and a perfect end to a big day. Next morning we went on the Yellow Waters cruise with our guide Denis, his wealth of knowledge and easy going witty personality was great, this was followed by a delicious breakfast. Thanks Cooinda for the best couple of days Highly recommended.

This place is a sanctuary in the wilderness. The rooms are small but great after we had been camping for a week. The food at the restaurant is fantastic and the beer is ice-cold. Also has a great camping ground. Totally recommend. The staff were also super friendly. Don't forget to book a yellow waters cruise from here too.

My expectations, considering the area, were of a relaxed camp in nature but in comfort. The reality is that this large enterprise starts work early in the morning with workshop radios blaring, leaf blowers nearby, compressors and pumps dealing with the daily routine - not a place to wake up to birds and insects. I guess this place caters to people going on excursions so would be up early anyway - not sure. With one amenity block this sees people walking past your tent on gravel at all hours. Nice clean facility though. At $300 a night for a glamping (glamorous camping) tent like structure with no plumbing it seemed expensive. The facilities are impressive if you remember where you are and the associated costs with providing them. Accommodations: Comfortable queen sized bed, that covers one set of power outlets no matter which way you push it so power recharge for one whilst in bed only. I’m not sure about other spots in the section but wifi wasn’t obtainable (weak signal) No TV, free tea and coffee with a kettle. Good bar, friendly staff and bar grub available. Breakfast was very good and cheaper if booked at reception. Highlights are the fresh juice squeezing machine and automatic pancake maker. There’s a surprise petrol/gas/servo station out front but expect to pay at least $0.50 per litre more than Darwin for fuel. Resort pools are good with a fake rock hole theme going on however there is no drinking in the pool area which was a bummer.

Being a hub for multiple tours and services means activity starts early, and we understand this may not align with all guest expectations. As for Wi-Fi and pricing, we agree the infrastructure and remote logistics here are challenging. While we aim to provide value through service and experience, your points are valid and appreciated. Excellent location, accommodating and food

Lodges are spacious, large comfy beds, nice shower and plenty of storage space. Nice small outside area with table and chairs. The main reception area and shop were well stocked. We ate in the restaurant for three nights as the area is remote and our car hire company suggested we didn’t drive after dark. The food was very nice, and well presented. Staff were pleasant. There is an outside and inside dining area. There are some lovely short walks around the area and a cultural centre that is well worth a visit. The river boat trip starts nearby, a must ! Wildlife and birds galore. Our only problem was the mozzies ( it was the wet season) so take plently of insect repellent. It’s a special unique place in the world. I’m so thankful I have visited and the lodges made it extra special.

This is a really nice lodge with separate cabins that are very comfortable. A chair in the room might be nice though. Such a beautiful setting in the forest with all the birds and animals calling at dawn and dusk. I wish they didn’t have so many lights outdoors but I guess they have to for safety’s sake. Pools are great for cooling off. We were there at the end of the Wet so it was extremely hot and humid—great to have a pool. It would be great if more Indigenous people could be employed instead of European backpackers. But I guess that’s how it works.

The pools are certainly a refreshing escape, especially during the warmer months ! Regarding outdoor lighting, we do try to balance safety with preserving the natural atmosphere, and your feedback is helpful as we continue refining this approach.
