Poor communication: worst service, Unresponsive staffs

"Unfortunately, my experience at your hotel was marred by poor customer service. I had to call 11 times to request my stay invoice, but despite sharing all the necessary details, including during my departure and again on my final call, I still haven't received it. The lack of prompt action and follow-up was disappointing. Hopefully, the hotel will take steps to improve its response times and communication. And am still waiting FYI Pls look into it I need it ASAP And also it takes multiple attempt to pick the call. Needs some training on it Buffet spreads are less also the bakery and the fruits items aren't fresh at all The fnb service also need's to be looked at. Has to wait for an hr to get a tea during morning breakfast.

My husband and I went to the hotel for the buffet dinner. After serving ourselves, we realised that all the food in the buffet was lukewarm and none of the items in the chafing dishes were hot. We asked to meet the restaurant manager but we were told that he was not present. Very surprising, being a Saturday evening ! We told one of the waiters about this but he just walked away. We then asked for the captain and a guy called Manas came to meet us. When we spoke with him about the issue, he had the gall to answer “what can I do” and he was smiling all the time ! We then suggested that he get us hot food from the kitchen and we told him what we wanted. He agreed to serving us hot food from the kitchen. We waited over half an hour but there was no sign of any food. We once again called Manas and asked him what the problem was. He then got us a plate of vegetable kababs which we had not even asked for. By this time we were extremely annoyed and angry and we walked out. At the reception we asked for the duty manager and met a young guy who offered us food or coffee and tea. We had already ordered our ride back home and declined the offer. We are extremely disappointed and annoyed by the way your staff treated us senior citizens. A hotel like Grand Mercure should have polite, respectful and responsible staff: not young boys who have total disregard for guests.

Compact Property in a Great Location, But Falls Short of Accor Standards

The property is small and compact, and while the location is excellent – close to the palace, zoo, and other attractions in Mysore – the experience didn’t fully meet Accor's expected service standards. Repeatedly, no one answered calls at reception, and room service was delayed on multiple occasions. The bakery items at breakfast were not fresh, and although I shared feedback, there was no noticeable action taken. On the plus side, the rooftop pool with an open-air jacuzzi was a real highlight. But closing it at 7 PM felt unnecessarily early, especially for guests wanting to relax in the evening. Overall, a property with potential and a great location, but service and responsiveness need serious improvement to meet the brand’s reputation.

This is my second time staying, after i enjoyed my first time stay. Rooms are compact but very clean and comfortable for a stay for 2 persons. Breakfast is outstanding which I really liked in the stay. Amenities are good, especially the roof top swimming pool is very calm and private feel. Ambience is a typical star hotel Ambience, don't expect a resort type Ambience, however the Breakfast Ambience is good with kids play area set up. Hotel has nice bar inside if you really wanna hang out with your friends. Overall I would recomended anyone to stay in this hotel if you are planning for a trip at mysore, mysore palace is very near.
