This is my favorite hotel in medan, but this trip i dont feel enjoy, because of the bed,i think already too long, need to replace, my back got pain after sleep and bed cover need to replace, many black things

I stayed for 2 nights in 2 rooms with my family, and all I can express is disappointment. Dust on every surface of glass and table, water boiler was not washed properly. Very bad housekeeping! The only service I appreciate was the front desk who helped me a lot through check in process. Overall I am not satisfied, considering this hotel is supposed to be a "5-star" hotel.

Not enough man to cover the service and stained bedsheets. But this is pandemy time which may be a disaster for everyone and I think they serve the best at their capacity but so much to improve to please the guests.

Previously, i rarely find reception to ask help. But nowadays, i have to. I don't know why, maybe a new regulation during pandemic or something like that. I have to call reception to ask few thing such as face towel, notes and pen, sometimes even bar soap i also need to ask. Good, very friendly service. Location is nice. Some friends have complaints about food availibilty but for me that's ok as most of the guests is locals. Pricing is good. It just need some renovation at spa area.

Stayed here for three night in late November and was pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by Ms. Vivi. She was was friendly, and very professional, and all this quite cheerfully, despite the late hour. The house is fantastic, and is spotlessly clean with comfortable rooms and bed. Great views out to the pool. The concierges were helpful during our tour to Berastagi and Danau Toba. We would definitely stay in Grand Mercure Maha Cipta Medan Angkasa if we are back in Medan. Highly recommend.

check-in. The slowest in my record. My still need to check my room where i already book what i want. Room is spacious. Toilet is a bit old. Morning breakfast, everything is so disorganized. Lobby area, constantly with live music. That was nice and great ambient. Good chinese restaurant next to the building. Guess waiting area a bit clutter at peak hour.

Overall it’s a good hotel, except for some personal views. Waiting time for check in at counter is a little too long. No one at the Priority Counter for Gold Member. No urgency towards waiting customers even though there is 2 counters available & 4 front destkstaff is at the counter. Wasn’t served welcome drinks while waiting until asked and still no respond and have to remind again. The front desk staff have to go to my room again to get my passport to be scanned again because it was not captured at the counter. During check out was pleasant and fast at the counter and still no one at the Priority Desk.

Returned to this property again and the hotel always exceeded my expectations! Under the helm of Pak Hendra this hotel will continue to be my home away from home. This is our second stay here, we've booked 2x rooms for us and my wife parents. Rooms was spacious and clean. Check in was smooth, we've given upgrade for both rooms (Accor Platinum), also informed that breakfast in lounge is complimentary for both rooms.

Staying at the hotel 3-4 times every year, this time round nicely surprised with much improvement in many aspects: night time check-in attendance by Mr. Teddy was a pleasant experience even after midnight, an excellent professional, very friendly, satisfying a regular client, upgrading as Accor Le Club Gold member. Breakfast has improved, tasty and varied, Mr. Agung very kindly attended me specially personally as I have difficulty in mobility, highly professional. Executive Lounge was another big pleasant surprise with the variety and quality of snacks served usually found in 5 star hotels. Most of the staff are attentive. Extended my stay and am back for another stay before leaving Medan.

Having staying in several Mercure hotels in Japan and Singapore, this has to be the worse I have been. The property is very dated, rooms are old and carpets has really bad stains. ItIis quite noisy as well. The bathroom was also not up to standard. An urgent refurbishment is definitely needed on this property.

A stay that is well-deserving of the 5 star rating. Service was also fast and responsive. The room was newly renovated and I was provided an upgrade, as my room was initially not ready. Subsequent enquiries were also taken speedily and responds was good.

This hotel was littered with flaws. The couple positives that we have to say are the restaurant (Orchid) was good, the staff around the hotel was friendly, the executive lounge had a decent spread of food, but the alcoholic beverages on offer were poor.Let's get into the problems. We'll start with pre-checkin. Before we arrived, my wife and I were coming from Parapat, Lake Toba, which is about 4 hours to the south. We asked the hotel about taxi options. While I respect that they don't arrange cars. The email we received was vague, with merely the names of taxi companies. They should have certainly provided contact numbers and possibly email address. That's the service you expect from a 4 or 5 star hotel. Next as an Accor (Plus) Gold member, there are certain benefits that exist. For one, they weren't prepared for our arrival. Gold and Platinum get early check in and check out if available and it didn't seem like this was available but check in was at 2 and we arrived at 1. We weren't offered wifi or given our drink vouchers for being Gold members and having to sit in the lobby and wait for our room. We were really cool about all this, but just took note of it mentally in terms of what we're used to with our status.Once we did the proper check in and got our keys, we weren't informed at all about the hotel's amenities, this included the executive lounge. We had book the highest level room in the hotel for a couple, which is the Deluxe Suite. The was nice by the way and well appointed. The bathroom was huge and clean. There was a mistake with our keys and we didn't have access to the 11th floor where the executive lounge is. We tried multiple times to get it fixed and the receptionist couldn't resolve the problem in a timely manner. We decided to leave and check out the city when we got back the key situation had been resolved so awesome job there. That was a 5 star moment.Spa was easy to book and the front desk people were really nice. The masseurs were unprofessional. The tables didn't have any flowers or anything where the head rest was. Mine went to the bathroom 10 minutes into the treatment. My wife's didn't dim the lights or turn on music. She was supposed to get a 90 minute massage and it ended up 60 minutes. When my wife noticed & said something to the front desk, they told her that they couldn't fix the bill but would bring the masseur back in to give her another 30 minutes. Back on the table, the masseur was annoyed & got rude. I could go on

Hotel refurbished room on 3rd floor was cosy and comfortable. Other level may be no so clean.Gym room is pretty run down. Stains from water leaking clearly seen on carpet, treadmills etc.Need international power socket at the lobby or at least provide an adaptor.

Great service, clean room and Breakfast was OK. The staffs were friendly. My check in and check out process were fast. You don't have to pay for breakfast if you are member of the according. They provide it in different place for accor member.

I have stayed in two 5 star hotels in Medan before. In both the air-conditioning was not comfortable. That was why I avoided them for this trip. I picked Mercure because my stay in Novotel Pekanbaru was comfortable, too. During the night I didn't have the dry throat fthat I had in other hotels. I will be staying in Mercure Medan again in future trips. Just hope the air quality (like other aspects) stays clean and friendly.
