Ibis Каунас Центр 3 звезды

This hotel is in a really good area, walkable distance to the train station, nearby mall and other supermarkets, plus right next to a taxi rank and bus station. I stayed here for 10 days in a standard double room. Positives: - Double bed mattress - Decent wifi - Good storage for clothes - Modern look in room - Friendly receptionist - Clean & spacious lobby - Good location - SmartTV - Ecofriendly by doing housekeeping every 4 days Negatives: - Needs more hook storage in bedroom and bathroom - No plug sockets besides the bed - No shelf storage in bathroom - Only 1 rubbish bin that's kept in the bathroom - Housekeeping doesn’t: --- replace the dirty mugs with clean ones --- clean/vacuum the floor The hotel's website needs to update what amenities they have as they say they provide slippers and robes, which I asked for and they don't anymore. Before arrival I asked if there was a kettle and a mini fridge, they said there wasn't a fridge but they could offer a spare kettle. I decided to take my own travel kettle in case, as I would rely on it a lot. They provided me with a kettle even though they couldn't guarantee it, I appreciate that they did. I asked if I could have a room near the lift and they did give me a room however it was an accessible room as I was here to have surgery. Two of the walls were in the corridor and the hotel page said that the rooms are soundproof. However, when your room is that exposed to corridor noise, it is quite annoying. There were kids running up and down the floor, which I didn’t mind until they’d run into the wall, bang on it etc. When it got to the quiet nighttime hours (10pm-7am) I phoned the front desk and they dealt with the disturbance promptly. It was spacious and the bathroom was basically a wet room. While there are handrails to hold on to, there was no seat or ledge built in to sit on and the floor had no anti-slip feature meaning that I almost slipped and fell when having a shower. I had to keep one of the towels on the floor to stand on to prevent slipping. There is a good hairdryer though. Also the bathroom products are 3-in-1 bottles; hair, body and handwash. One placed at the shower and one at the sink. Since it was in winter, they only offered breakfast which I did not try out. Overall it's a nice place to stay short term. It is warm to stay within the colder months, with easy access to nearby shops and restaurants.

stayed at the Ibis Kaunas Centre for two nights and overall had a good experience. The location is a real highlight. It’s very central, about a 10-minute walk to the Old Town, right next to the main bus station, and less than five minutes on foot to the main train station. Getting around Kaunas was easy from here. The room itself was clean and comfortable, exactly what I expect from an Ibis. Everything was in good order and suitable for a short stay. Breakfast was a bit mixed. On the first morning it was extremely busy, with most of the food already gone and no available seating, so I ended up taking breakfast back to my room. The second morning was much better as I went earlier and had no issues at all. The food selection was fine when it was properly stocked. Overall, it’s a solid option if you’re looking for a clean, practical hotel in a very convenient location, especially for travel connections.

This hotel should not be trusted with guests or their belongings. We were checked into a dirty room that had clearly not been properly cleaned. Housekeeping had to return and re-clean after we had already entered the room, which is unacceptable and humiliating for a paying guest. After checkout, a distinctive, limited-edition sweatshirt left hanging in the wardrobe disappeared. This item was not lost elsewhere. It was left in the room and therefore under the hotel’s control. It was then gone. Instead of investigating properly, management immediately: • defended staff without evidence, • avoided any meaningful review of what happened, • and attempted to rebrand the disappearance as a “lost item”. That is not professionalism — it is avoidance. Staff attitude throughout the stay was poor, including at breakfast, where basic courtesy was missing. No greeting, no warmth, no sense of hospitality — even on New Year’s Day. I have stayed in hotels for many years and across many Accor properties. This is the first time I have experienced a combination of filthy accommodation, hostile service, and missing guest property followed by outright denial. If you value cleanliness, honesty, or the safety of your belongings, do not stay here.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights. I had a single room, which was quite nice, but my colleagues had a double room, which was not so nice. The double room only had towels for one person, and cleaning was not provided even when we left a note on the door asking for it. The beds were 70 cm wide, which is not okay for a normal adult. For breakfast, they serve salads that are several days old, and the staff won't let you toast bread, even though there is a toaster available. A very bland experience. If you can, choose something else, but not IBIS Kaunas centre.

К сожалению, я разочарована. Подушка была не свежей. Может быть от того, что в комнате душно, кондиционер шумит, окна нельзя открыть, люди вынуждены спать без кондиционера и как следствие потеют и потеет сама подушка. А может быть мне не поменяли наволочку? В любом случае от нее был плохой запах нечистой головы. Чтобы спать на ней мне пришлось накрыть ее полотенцем. Наволочка на соседней подушке была в пятнах. Умывальник протекал. Когда я зашла в номер он был закрыт затычкой. Я могу предположить, что кто-то уже знал, что есть такая проблема. Я была вынуждена убирать эту воду туалетной бумагой и подложить полотенце. Единственный плюс у этого отеля - расположение. Но минусов гораздо больше. Я в нем больше не хочу устанавливаться.
