We had a fantastic one week stay at the hotel in late November. We spent all day at the beach front, the pool is excellent. It’s a resort style, very quiet, secluded on its own part of the beach. Great views of the beach and sunset every day. The rooms are really nice, spacious and comfortable. The hotel is renovated and kept very well. There’s 2 big swimming pool, the beach is very beautiful. I’ve been to many accor hotels but the food quality of this hotel is just great. From drinks to food, you can see that they really use good ingredients and effort to make it taste great. We had many meals inside the hotel, the breakfast is top notch. It’s excellent value for money. Thank you to all the kind and amazing staff, k. Aud, k. Cream, k. Beer and everyone else. They are excellent. We will be back.

При бронировании мною был выбран номер категории с видом на море. В день заезда мне было предложено повышение категории на номер с доступом п бассейн, при этом сам номер по моему впечатлению имеет худшее расположение относительно того, что мною было изначально забронировано. От повышения я отказался. Далее мне был предложен номер, соответствующий моему бронированию с видом на склад. Данный номер мне не понравился, о чем было сообщено менеджеру. Я попросил сделать замену на аналогичный номер в другом корпусе, который по всем внешним признакам мне показался свободным в день моего заезда. Менеджер категорически отказывался, при этом как выяснилось номер действительно был свободен и ждал "особых гостей". В конце концов под угрозой звоков в accor данный номер мне все же был предоставлен. Данное событие омрачило мне и моей семье все дальнейшее пребывание в данном отеле. Сам отель уже потерял свой презентабельный вид, потолок в премиальном номере 1501 в ванной имеет огромную трещину. Есть ощущение что потолок скоро обрушится. На потолке в номерах имеются следы протечек, видимо крыша течет. В ресторане также весь потолок со следами протечек, которые покрылись плесенью, и это там где постояльцы едят! Отдельно отмечу завтрак - полное несоответствие стоимости. Скудный выбор блюд. Из фруктов только ананас и арбуз. Кофе не зерновой а порошковый. Вы серьезно? В Ibis завтраки бывают лучше. От Mercure ожидаешь явно большего. Персонал конечно старается, но ситуацию это не исправляет. За пол часа до завершения завтрака выбор еды сильно сокращается. Сделайте завтраки дольше, это курортный отель, где люди привыкли отдыхать. Большая часть постояльцев приходит как раз за пол часа до окончания завтрака. Пляжные полотенца меняю раз в сутки во время уборки, при этом из-за высокой влажности высушить их самомтоятельно не представляется возможным. Если у отеля сложности с назначением сотрудника на выдачу полотенец, почему нельзя сделать это в формате самообслуживания как это практикуется в других отелях?

I almost left after the first night—but stayed all four due to a no-refund policy. The room was far below Mercure's standard; I felt like I was in a different hotel entirely. The staff, mostly not appearing Thai, rarely offered a "sawadee kha"—only the luggage handler and security guard stood out positively. Facilities are in poor condition. The beach is a disappointment: two sea rock barriers prevent proper water circulation, resulting in murky, smelly water and muddy sand. Mercure, urgent refurbishment is needed. This beautiful location deserves much better.

We are a successful Travel Agency ( over 28 years ) so we know exactly what we are booking. We have stayed in Mercure / Accor hotels several times in the world, this has never happened before. Shame on Mercure Koh Chang Hideway. 1/ We booked 3 standard rooms - we read every room description. Unfortunately we didn't notice that there was no balcony ( only on site ) of course they couldn't change the rooms there because the hotel was full. Although we were angry, we accepted that we were careless and so we did not have a balcony. 2/ But the view and the windows we had were a disgrace to the hotel !!! The windows of the rooms were not transparent / 1 room was . but we were looking straight at a dirty roof and wall , half a meter from the window !!! This is not written anywhere in the room description. This is a total deception of the guest Like a travel agent (1 person of 6) we visit a lot of hotels every year to give our passengers an accurate picture. Mercure should be ashamed of itself because it has refused to even acknowledge compensation. At every workshop, at every trade meeting, at every tourism exhibition, we will publish long reports on Mercure's incorrect behaviour. Photos will be attached as evidence.

We have thought that we are coming into vacation in here. But we have been very disappointed. Booked a 124m² Villa with private pool and Yakuzzi. As we have checked in, there was a problem with American Express Card, which was rejected from their system. No problem, paid with VISA, even if AMEX was agreed before in reservation agreement. Having spoken with AMEX, which was a very expensive phone call to Germany, they have given information that Mercure terminal is not sending out any seller information or ID, so it was not a problem with AMEX, it was a problem with their terminal inside Mercure ! Might be they wanted to avoid because of higher commissioning rate and exchange rate with AMEX. Fully disappointed from the 124m² villa, this is only room with less than 80m², no seperate living or bedroom, even not a comfortable table or seating possibility within living room / bedroom. Within the first three nights, we could not sleep as because of the pump from the pool made a lot of noise ! This problem was solved on the fourth day from one of your technicians, pump was switched off. Swimming pool was dirty already before, but became more dirty now, so we could not use what we have paid for. In addition, water flow in bathroom basins was stocked, floor was wet all the time, also solved on fourth day from their technicians, but situation was ongoing all the time also with toilet. Warm water supply is also unacceptable, there is no warm water supply all the time, only for a few minutes within the morning or evening ! As we have have reported stucking toilet in the mornings, not flushing down, water is coming back, there was no reaction, so we had to use public toilet at the main swimming pool very often instead of our private. Further on, there is a lot of construction work noise around the villa every morning, banging at the walls, drilling, cutting works. This was not vacation, it was a nightmare we have paid a lot of money for for nine nights. Service at the beach bar is very good, but your kitchen is not able to deliver a simple burger menu as ordered three times ! Also noodles were delivered with rare meat. Was send back to kitchen and replaced, nice to have a discount on it, but we prefer to have dinner together and not alone… This place needs a lot of more maintenance… bathroom shower door handle with silicon and nearly falling down, Yacuzzi can not be used, electric control cabinet open, trash around swimming pool and in front of the entrance, swimming pool stairs and ceramics dirty… Not a holiday feeling ☹, respective not worth the money we have paid. Management was not interested in our claim which was done verbally and in a written for, did not receive any answer. They have only given a "discount" for a night which could not be used from us because of travel delays. Sorry to say after all: it was not worth the money and we have been very disappointed because of our private pool, Yacuzzi and also drainage stucks...
