Had a wonderful stay! The hotel was spotless, with clean and comfortable rooms that made it easy to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options to suit everyone. The location was also great. Overall, a fantastic experience would definitely recommend and look forward to returning

Stayed here with family before an evening out and the staff here were so welcoming and helpful. We had breakfast here in the morning and there was a good variety of food all fresh and hot. Thank you to the manager Kelly for making our stay a good one! Would definitely stay again.

Spent the evening at the bar. Friendly staff and lovely setting. I live locally so didn’t stay in the hotel but will definitely visit the bar again. Location is convenient but not in the hustle and bustle of the city centre so I liked this. Plenty of parking available although I didn’t drive to the hotel on this occasion.

Disappointing

Arrived late. Hotel room was boiling so had to open the window to air the room. Went to the bar. No music. No atmosphere. NO COLD WINE!! Didn’t have the first three wines we asked for from the wine menu. Finally got a very expensive bottle but it was warm. No gluten free food available. All round disappointing.

Tired and not a 4 star!

This hotel was awful. It definitely is not a 4 star hotel. The rooms would not get 1 star in my opinion. Our room was unclean…the carpet was stained in multiple places, the sink was cracked, the TV didn't work and the remote control was filthy…and the mattress was heavily wee stained with a very thin unfitting cover over it! Other things to note, there is no lift. We had an elderly Labrador with us who had to go up 2 flights of stairs. We were not advised on booking. There was a wedding reception on, the music dominated the restaurant and bar and also the guests seemed to have free roam of the hotel. Again not advised on booking. The restaurant and bar was freezing as the doors were all open due to the wedding guests going in and out. There were 2 yellow sofas right next to the front entrance that you could sit in with your dog! That is not pet friendly! The only positive things were the food - despite our reservations over cleanliness of the hotel we did eat there and the food was good, dinner and breakfast. The manager who was on site was apologetic and did all she could to apologise within the limitations of the actual hotel failings. Basically, the staff were excellent, the food was great, but the hotel itself is tired and run down needing a serious upgrade.
